It looks like Syrian citizens are tired of the foreign terrorists.




Syrian activists called online for nationwide protests on Friday to reject any future U.N. deployment of blue helmets in the strife-torn country, as rebels inched closer to the capital amid raging violence.
"No to 'peacekeeping' forces in Syria," was the slogan announced for weekly Friday protests, according to the Syrian Revolution 2011 Facebook page.
Ever since the outbreak of a popular revolt against President Bashar Assad in March 2011, thousands of protesters have taken to streets in towns and cities across Syria to call for the fall of the regime.
As Syria's conflict has evolved, weekly slogans agreed by activists have been designed to express the mood among dissidents.

Ecuador said Thursday it has not offered Bashar Assad asylum amid speculation the embattled Syrian president was weighing Latin America as a place of refuge.
"Totally denied," Foreign Minister Ricardo Patino said on his Twitter account. "No Syrian citizen has requested asylum in Ecuador, much less its current president."
The asylum speculation stems from a recent trip to Cuba by Syria's deputy foreign minister, Fayssal Mekdad, who delivered a message from Assad to Cuban President Raul Castro, according to the official Cuban news agency Prensa Latina.
The Syrian official also was reported to have traveled to Venezuela, Nicaragua and Ecuador, whose leftist governments have close relations with Havana.
Asked about the reports, State Department spokesman Mark Toner said Wednesday that the United States was aware that some countries had offered to host Assad and his family should he leave Syria.

"The unarmed U.N. observers say they have been threatened and have also had to treat Syrian forces following battles with opposition rebels in the demilitarized zone, according to a new report by U.N. leader Ban Ki-moon.
Four Austrian members of the U.N. Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), which has been in the Golan since 1974, were wounded as they drove to Damascus airport last week. Syrian and Israeli forces have repeatedly exchanged fire across the ceasefire line.
Canada pulled its small contingent out of UNDOF in September and other contributor countries have raised concerns, diplomats said. Austria, Croatia, India, Japan and Philippines provide the 1,000 troops in the force.
"We take very much to heart the safety and security of our personnel in UNDOF," Ladsous told reporters."

I fully support UN using all measures to provide safety. How does an attack on a ride to an airport translated into APC's being deployed in the Golan Heights. Any manifest to what is taking up the space that would be ammo? How about an eye to the sky that is used as an aid to NATO type munitions being used in an attack mode? Tracking Syrian cruise missiles headed for items floating on water, is that just an untended consequence?.

It was done to stop Syria from becoming the topic of the thread you had just abandoned and the other thread has you giving the boot to. At least that is how I saw it go down, good thinking by somebody as it looks to be a topic not summed up in 3 posts or less.

Question, Can Turkey be used as a launch pad for high explosives delivered with pinpoint accuracy because that was called in by a 'rebel' using some French delivered goodies. How long before Syria can do a lend/lease deal for reloads? (when you see it as being part of a fair fight)

Israel stepped on the Iranian proxy Hezbollah (that much I do know) in retaliation for over a year of missile and rocket attacks into Israel…& I think they’re currently stepping on rocket & missile & ammunition & chemical weapon stockpiles so that nobody gets to lob them into Israel regardless of what pack of arseholes fills the power vacuum left by Hezbollah & Iran and what’s his pickle (the Syrian president that fled to Russia).

It “sounds” like the Russians are bugging out of their military bases in Syria, taking as much as they can with them, & Iran is currently it’s military personnel, & so on and so forth just like Russia is.

Which ISIS? Are they the same ISIS (remnants) in the grey blobs that the Americans also bombed the shit out of in the last day or two, while the Israelis are bombing any other stockpile of weaponry that they can, regardless of who controls it?

Are you saying that because Israelis fought Hezbollah, and Hezbollah at one point fought ISIS, then Israel (& in turn its allied force being America) must be supporting ISIS currently? Are Israel or America’s allies in turn also supporting ISIS by extension? If so, that sounds like a stretch.

I think Syria is currently such a tangled mess that nobody knows what’s gonna happen at this point, or who’s really aligned with whom.

Yes the same Sunni Isis that youve known and loved for decades that was al Qaeda in Iraq.

If they wanted you to know reality they put names behind "Rebel forces" but anyone who has paid attention for 15 years knows that the rebels are Isis.

Its not a secret.
