Back when there was a Palistine, The UN gave the Israelis over half of what was then called Palestine, You will notice that Palestine no longer exists. The whole area is now called Israel. The Palestinians who haven't left the area are living in camps
in the West Bank and Gaza. The Israelis now brazenly call the West Bank part of Israel. Why would anyone boycot a conference in Israel? Maybe Saudi should be worried.....

Jews speak out all the time. They hosted a Wall concert in Israel with Roger Waters whose highly critical of the the violence, and spoke out in the media about his disagreement with Israel .

The difference is that if you go into Palestine and start mouthing of about knocking off suicide bombing they'll cut your throat from ear to ear. And that is why Leftists and celebrity have a rather narrow viewpoint on this issue. I wonder Hawking complained about Gays being hung in Iran or stonings of woman when he visited.

I think that the poorest of the Palestinian people are victims of a leadership that is propped up by people who aren't close enough to the issue to understand what they are endorsing.
