ya but where do you see that?

every road i was on in BC had a speed limit sign.
Of course all the roads have posted limits, but you don't see a posted speed limit every 20 meters. You can go for kilometers without seeing one. So if you pull out of town and don't see a posted speed limit on the highway for 5 kliks, you do 80 KMPH. It's written in the driving manual the gov't gives to people who want to learn to drive.
Grab a brain.

88 Miles Per HOUR!!!!!!
Dead wrong. Try to keep up. I said a while back 100 translates to 60 MPH. Petros said 62 but who's counting. It is not 88 anything.

Is glue sniffing on the rise in Canada or something?

Has anyone driven out of the Toronto airport on the freeway in the last couple years? If you try to maintain 75 miles an hour
you will be passed on both sides. On the Nanaimo parkway the posted speed limit is 110kph but people drive a good deal
faster than that.

110 kmh is too fast for Nanaimo Parkway. I wonder how many dead deer are gathered up there each year. 90 kmh is even fast for that stretch of Highway.

Picked up on what? Your density? That you rely on movies to determine your view of reality?

well, she's so perfect. never makes mistakes or says the wrong thing
Wrong again, but being wrong seems to be a habit with you.
and never looks stupid by accident!
I admit when I am wrong. In fact, I was wrong when I said the max. speed limit in school zones is 40 in BC. The real max. is 30.
But, wrong seems to be your default position.

Maybe we are approaching this wrong. Maybe all drivers should be at least competent enough to drive the highest posted speed limit. The worst drivers who are not competent, should be taken off the road.

The biggest hazzards on the road are the slow pokes who drive 20 to 40 clicks below the speed limit.

Nope- they are second, tailgaters are the worst and most deadly.:lol: Defensive drivers aren't affected by slow pokes, they are patient until they can pass safely.

I was sitting near two young girls a while back, they were chatting, the one
said to the other "I love driving, I love speed, I can't help it, when I drive
I have to go fast everywhere I go, I love the speed, it's exciting, I can't help it.

juan, there is an incompetent driver, she needs to grow up and figure out that there
are others in this world besides her, so immature and air headed.

I wanted to smack her in the head, but I could help it, I thought better of it, just felt pity for her
instead, and wondered when she would have her first crash, and if she would injure or kill someone.

She was so full of her own importance, she had so much to learn.

You have no reason to call her incompetent unless she has caused an accident.
I drive fast, I like speed, I used to drive race cars. Does that make me incompetent? No. I've been driving for 44 years and caused no accidents...

Virtually every time I drive somewhere that attitude is blairing.

she was very young, and foolish, not yet understanding her risks, and it's too bad that she had
to go on the road and put others at risk.
there is all sorts of different ways of speeding, I was not impressed with hers, she had not yet
given any thought to the 'big' picture.

You have that absolutely right Talloola and the big picture that she likely doesn't have an inkling about is "momentum" of which speed is just one factor but it's momentum that does the damage.

Other than what you heard her say (maybe she was just bragging and blowing hot air) you know absolutely nothing about her. You are just using your biased opinion to assume something not in evidence...
