While the other cases cited recently of racist shootings are complete BS, there is obviously no excuse for this one.
This cop is going to prison for a long, long time.

Why? According to the officer, the man stole his taser and fled. A taser is a deadly weapon. Does stealing a deadly weapon and fleeing not justify a lethal force response from the officer? How is the suspect (read: cooling meat) not a threat to the community?

You bet. This failure to take the officer at his word and chalk it up to "keeping the public safe" and "cleaning trash off the streets" threatens to undermine public confidence in our Boys in Blue. Then where will we be?

I'm disturbed by the decline of "he had it coming" when a black man gets shot. As I said, it erodes confidence in the guardians of the peace.
Nobody even brought up that Scott's sister's cousin's brother's friend has a drunk-driving arrest on his record.

OK, maybe Slager was a tiny bit too quick on the trigger. But he feared for his life. He said so in an official report.
I think a $100 fine for discharging a firearm within city limits is fair in this case.
