Go back to chapter one of the link ...There is constant reference to the Citizens of The Dominion of Canada (paraphrased)prior to 1947.You don't seem to comprehend that for their to be an immigration policy...there has to be a country. Otherwise the article would not refer to them as Canadians...but as you suggest British citizens. If you read the whole link you would see this is not the case. They were coming to become citizens of Canada...not Britain.
As for what you posted the Candian Government does believe as I do...that the Citizenship act was merely a very small technicality.
If we were citizens of Britain as you suggest...there would be no Canadian money prior to 1947. It would be British pounds...that was not the case.( as Newfoundland entered Canada in 1949 they had there own money prior to 1949) Again a better indicator of sovereignty.

Zenfisher, I will do as you say and read it more thoroughly, if I have misunderstood then I will correct it, but from what I gather, it is a sensitive issue with you and rightfully so. I will not only reference that site but other sites also. And if my memory serves me correctly I had also found study material at some point in time for student handouts teaching them exactly what Ive said to you, but, I will check again and let you know.

Excuse me you are missing the point again! I said arrogance because that is what it is. And its not quantum mechanics to see where you post on this board and what topics, you do have an agenda, which is okay by me, only get one thing straight, there are only certain people in this world that can really teach, they have humility not arrogance. I couldn't care less if the war was about oil or not. The point is that even if it was about the oil, i'd still be in favor of the war in Iraq because it has accomplished some goals that I agree with.
