Wilson-raybould is the kind of candidate we should be voting for independently of her party association. She's the kind of person who should be able to run an election as an independent and win if the voters can recognize character when they see it.

People in Canada vote for the party and its ruler , independents rarely get any traction .
Thus the root of the problem. I bet many will vote for a shady Conservative or NDP candidate over a Liberal of character just because they don't like the party leader. Makes us wonder about democracy.
No party is honest or corrupt. The integrity or lack thereof comes from the individual members of that party. And yes, that applies to every political party.
Taking bribes from SNCLavlin? I know in Quebec that is not really a crime but it is in the rest of Canada.
