Okay Herm, you've made me feel better about the shoveling I have to do this morning. lol.

5 more cm expected before the end of the day. And you havent seen how long our drive is. it took me an hour to scoop it all up. We're parking at the END of the drive from now on.

Me likes snow. Snow leaves footprints. Me can see if the mailman has come without checking the mailbox.

Me likes snow. Snow reflects the light of the moon. Me can see in the dark without stubbing me toe.

Me likes snow. Snow keeps people indoors. Me can wander the streets in peace.

Me likes snow. Snow fills the driveway. Me can charge $20 to shovel it.

Me likes snow. Snow rests on the branches of leafless trees. Me thinks pretty sight.

Yes, me likes snow. :smile::smile::smile:

Suggestions appreciated. :lol:

hermite if you look at the little figures on top of the reply box, you will see what looks like an envelope with a stamp on it. Copy and paste your photobucket photo URL into the box that pops up when you click on that envelope. You should get this:

press the button that looks like a photograph, enter your URL into the popup window, press OK.

alternatively you can use the button which looks like a paperclip (i think it's only on the advanced window) to attach a picture file to your message

For those participating here who belong to the over 70 crowd.....is my recollection of winters say forty or fifty years ago right....? I seem to remember that winters were much colder and we had mountains of snow as a regular pheneomenon...

I've never liked winter and this has been one of the constants throughout my life...

I'm not over seventy just yet but I do remember seeing normal winter temperatures in the Prince George/Vanderhoof area of -40 to -50 degrees. It hasn't been that cold in years.

a friend of mine lived two years in Iqaluit. He told me the temperature reached -72°C once.
-63 is supposed to be the North American record low temperature but I guess it could be wrong....:smile:

Same as it ever was. Some years we had snow, some years we didn't. I just am thankful for double-glaze windows; it was always a pain putting up the "storms" every fall and taking them down every spring.

In Winnipeg one year it was so cold in January that my truck wouldn't start even though it was plugged in and parked in the garage. I think they said it was over 50 below with the windchill. We went for a little walk and even bundled up we got pretty cold. The dogs had no interest in doing anything out side other than finishing the business and getting back inside. heh heh

I don't mind the cold, but too cold is too cold.
