Should we open our doors for more refugees?

We have enough financial problems taking care of our own, and things are not going to get better in the near future.

Helping others is a honourable thing, and myself, am all for it, but there are many ways to help, the best way is always going over there and helping "there', not here, whether it is by relocating them north or south; wherever there are no conflict, but the answer is not bringing thousands here, which we cannot afford, but more importantly people that are shocked by our way of life, who end up struggling for centuries trying to do the impossible, change.
Funny this is on the post today, I got a online request to sign a petition for cosmetic companies to stop using animals for their testing. I thought okay, sounds like a good thing. ASA I clicked on 'sign' I got a message saying: "Thank you for supporting Justin Trudeau's plan to bring more refugees" !! I was shocked and sent them a message to remove me permanently from their online list, since they have 000 integrity. Makes you wonder about the truthfulness of polls.
Here are some of my refugee ancestors who came to North America and to Upper Canada escaping destruction and death, in 3 cases, servitude in another one:
Anabaptist Bretheren in Christ from German Europe escaping genocide.
French Protestants (Huegenots) escaping genocide. (Note, the first two were Christians escaping certain death at the hands of other Christians)
Jacobite Scots forced to leave their homeland, (That one was political)
United Empire Loyalists who remained true to the Crown that had given them peace and protection.(not as political as the Yanks would claim)
Others were economic refugees as most of our ancestors who arrived here, were. I don't count those but it is a real reason to come here, too.
I am very symopathetic to any refugees escaping destruction and, so far, I haven't heard boo about them causing any trouble in this country. Perhaps External Affairs did a good job of vetting them. Maybe, the rule that no single, young men are invited has made it easier. Whatever. All if the "bad news" Syrian refugee stories are coming from elsewhere.

Why on earth would you want to do that? If we need more citizens there are plenty of well educated people that already speak english.
Who cares what a mythical being might do?
Refugees are a result of our sins. If we stop being a part of useless wars then there wouldn't be a refugee crisis at all
Look what I recd today from the "Change.Org" !! I never signed this petition, it is 100% fraud. I wonder how many people are getting this fraudulent link. Is it from the Liberals, what a f*&^5g unethical scam.
