Should the government ban Marijuana

I once sat in a room with 3 friends and 3 of my brothers. They were passing one around and I declined. I remember perfectly my brother saying "just try it, you'll like it".

I replied "that's exactly what I'm afraid of"

Two of my 3 brothers and 1 of my 3 friends ended up becoming addicts. All of them were poor well into their 30's and I've never worried about money in my life. I had more new cars then all of them combined.

Coincidence?

no not really....you just took different paths is all...... weed doesnt cause one to become poor or rich....attitude does that. from my experience weed is a creative drug...gets the mind active and motivated. I cant sit still after a smoke I have to get up and do something......

Oakland City Council Approves Industrial Marijuana Facilities

'In states where medicinal marijuana is permitted, legal dispensaries usually obtain the drug from small backyard growers and distribute it to patients with prescriptions. But the Oakland, Calif. City Council recently took marijuana production to the next level when it approved the construction and operation of potentially four industrial-size marijuana production facilities within city limits.
The decision lands Oakland as the first California city to approve of such facilities, and, according to a recent Los Angeles Times report, the nearby city of Berkeley has a similar measure on its ballot in November.'
