Normally I would agree. The thing I think might become an issue is that any punishment we could give them would create more radicallized religotards. By shipping them out and revoking citizenship, they can go and get themselves killed and we don't have to pay for it. Except for the umbrella they'd need once the door to the plane was opened. BUT if we bought the umbrella's from dollar store, we'd save a bundle!

I dont see how dropping them out of a plane would do any better when it comes to stopping religious radicalization here.

Perhaps they requested that their identities not be released? I cant really think of many reasons why they would remain anonymous this long.

it's just strange...never heard a thing and then this comes out

and on another note...buddy is a West Indian convert and was a drug addict for years...

and wow, now I'm messed up...they have a dude on TV who had been radicalized and now is an analyst for CSIS so, they can be changed apparently

guess we can't just shoot them all right now then

Darn you WLDB and your logic. No it wouldn't. And it would only make some people feel better about the choice these wack jobs have made...

What about radicalizing them to non religion?

Invade Quebec would be the next logical step if the recent past was the guideline we are going by these days.

...then happy pony lawyer guy comes around and drops names of musical ride RCMP members and concern-trolls that the mounties are the best police force in the world for effect

...well, maybe he knows them musical ride members and that's cool but ya never know eh
Yep, y'know, I met Sgt. Mayo, Const. Cameron, and Const. Lyall while they were with the Ride. So what?

Const. Cameron and Const. Lyall have moved on. I know from talking with Const. Lyall that he was hoping to get with the ERT after his time with the Musical Ride was done. I hope he made it, he's the hardest hard man I've ever met. At the same time, he's an intelligent, courteous, decent young man. He may well be responding to the Parliament Hill shootings.

Sgt. Mayo is an exemplar of all of Canada's finest virtues. And Const. Cameron is just a good, basic, decent, boy-next-door Canadian who joined the Mounties.

They're good guys. You're a decent country. I feel for you.

Maybe that's too sappy for you. Nonetheless, I wish you peace and healing over the next few days.

If that ain't enough for you from a neighbour, I don't know what is. So I guess I'm back to ignoring you.

Later. Or not.

I think we should keep them in Canada, drop them off on Ellesmere Island with a jack knife, a box of matches and a can of Off.

New laws would allow the government to revoke the citizenship of naturalized citizens under certain circumstances. But the suspected shooter was born in Canada. His citizenship couldn't be revoked, and I don't know why it should be. The idea seems to come from a visceral nativism. The idea that surely potential terrorists have an otherness to them. They are immigrants or the children of immigrants and there's some kind of illegitimacy to their citizenship that needs to be proven beyond actually having citizenship. It's weird. If we had the evidence to revoke citizenship under the new laws, we'd have the evidence to charge them with a crime.

Like Stalin? :p

Radicalizing anything can lead to bad things.

yeah, but you never hear about militant scientists blowing up anything, killing anyone...the most is they just soapbox loudly. That's acceptable behaviour...sort of.

Turn them to science.....
