Thank you for this, Loc.

Of course this is not the first time Canadians have come under threat by those who choose to further their aims with violence. I remember well the dark days of the FLQ crisis. My neighbor was living in Montreal during those terrifying days when mailboxes were being blown up on the streets, day after day. Listening to him speak of the worry he had for his family and friends gave me an even better understanding of the word 'terror.'

Here in BC not that long ago we had a bunch of numb-nuts running around trying to blow up our pipelines. That they were so inept or the pipelines that invulnerable is still a matter of some debate. The fact that no one was ever charged with the crimes is also disturbing leaving as it does the chance for yet more of the same in the future.

Nor have we seen the end of such acts and we would be foolish to believe otherwise.

It will be in the method and delivery of plans to deal with any such future threats that our true measure will be taken.

Seldom have I had reason to be proud of the performance of our politicians in the House of Commons, today I had every reason to do so. From the sustained standing ovation given to Kevin Vickers to the PM crossing the floor to hug his main political opponents and then the singing of our National Anthem - it was one of the finest moments I have ever witnessed in Parliament.

He should remain nameless. He didn't have a heart or a soul, why should he have a name?

Actually I'd beg to differ- I think more to the point he may fit the description better of someone who is mentally ill.

Or very gullible!

At reporter on the radio today was mentioning what he believed the commonality was between these young adults who've become radicalizedby Islam.

He believed that these people before their radicalization felt very small and insignificant. Islam offered something. I hope they are able to pint point the cross over point or whatever you want to call it. Maybe then it can be stopped.

I don't believe that either of these men were recruits of ISIS or representatives for that matter. More likely, both were mentally unstable individuals who gravitated toward the extremism and therefore became pawns of an apocalyptic ideology. But for the record, we should still carry on with the mission and do as much damage as we can to this cult.

We can just as easily focus on the recruiters of these lonesome loser recruits. The CEO's of all the Happy Jihad's One-Way Truck Rentals here in Canada. Take those sleazy bastards out.

More like they found a vehicle in this isis ideology to let loose. Just like some to use the internet as their blunt tool to be shameless idiots.
