I used that term the other day... 'lickity-split'... and stopped dead in my tracks as my mind raced to try to figure out if it sounded as sick out loud as it did in my head. Just like when someone said she was so thrilled she was 'tickled pink'. Now, did these ALWAYS sound so sick and wrong?
