Thank you and the others who have contributed to this thread .Obviously none of you agree with my original post and that,s great,we all have our different views, I have placed my observation. Now I would like to invite you , to tell me what You think are the essentials that human requires, in order to survive (survive what?).

I've learned that from sweet Canadians, bashing the Americans , here ,on the Canadian forum.
Seriously shadowshiv,what do you mean by ..."bashing" Canadians , did I ever say That Canadians are stupid ,ignorant,self centered ? or that they don't know how to play hockey? or that their beer stinks? no I have not said any of these things , and you have no point shadowshiv.

What I have done is to read some threads which were "reserved" for bashing your southern neighbor, it turned my stomach .No ,I wasn't drinking a Canadian beer at that moment.
I work my ass off at work, as do the majority of other Canadians.

You did in your opening post. Anything beyond food, shelter, and clothing is the start of self deception. Do you even read what you write?

canada doesn't supply food, shelter or clothing to anyone except a very select few. Mostly these are the very poor or sick. And we don't do enough of this either. Otherwise you are on your own for food, shelter and clothes.

HiJoe,Thanks for the post.I have lived in Canada for over 40 ys. Am familiar with welfare system abuse .I was an employer.

I would certainly abuse our welfare system for better sake of my living standard.
That includes divorced mothers.

And so, just because of a few people that bashed Americans(of which I was NOT one of), you decide that it is okay to bash people. That is good logic. No, you did not say any of the things in the above quoted post(as far as I know), but you said that Canadians do NOT like to work. So, yes, you ARE bashing Canadians. And this is not the first thread that you have said that either.

This isn't a personal attack on you, but if you want to take it that way there is nothing I can say that would change your mind.

Regarding love? I said that. And that is good enough for me.

I thought an essential of life was growth of self and outreach to others - we are not insular beings but in our growth must have comparison with others for our own measurement. We can never stop, sit, and say, "all done".

Life is a continuum - are you sitting or resting or have you turned your back on it?
