Good challenge Scott..........you know when to throw the flag. Darn it.

The Chickman is having a good night - 2 sacks so far.

At least we are moving up the sack chart........for awhile there we were dead last.

I'll be glad when this is over and I can start breathing normally again.......this holding my breath on every play is really getting to me.

Of course the return is negated.......... someone really has it out for poor little Miller...........how disheartening for the guy. Sure doesn't stop him though..........gutsy little guy.

Take the points. Good call. Lots of time yet.

Okay, we got the stop.

Yeah well CC should start 'positioning' himself for a clean game.

Whoa that was pretty.

Could be the ball game right there.

Thank you TO!

Skin of our teeth.

Nope...........this is the ball game.

Penalties.

I saw some things I liked. The D was ferocious, and the kid looked real good. Getzlaf was superhuman

There's some things to build on.

By which I am NOT forgiving the disgracefully poor discipline. If Chamblin can't control them, it's time for the team leaders to step up.

Bagg, Getzlaf, Messam, Chick, Brack, you're on.

Too bad those guys can't bench the guilty cause that is what I would be doing right about now. You take an unnecessary penalty and you are out and not just for one series. That way we would at least know who wants to see this team win and who doesn't.

I watched a post-game interview with Getz yesterday and it just broke my heart. You couldn't help but see the utter dejection in his eyes. There he was, doing his utter most to get this team a win and some really selfish thoughtless players decided to break the rules. Getz wasn't the only one out there giving it their best on Friday. Tec, named a few others but no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't overcome the hole that others kept putting them in, time and time again.

If I remember correctly, this self-same coach of ours once had an iron-clad rule that if you screw up - you are benched. Too bad that went by the wayside.

Listen, guys. I love my Riders, like you do. You've been really nice to me, helping me get up to speed on what's going on in the CFL. And I truly appreciate it. Especially Mowich and petros. Me and petros get pretty nasty with each other on other threads, and I really honor him for not letting that bleed over into our common Rider fandom.

All that is to say this. I'd welcome y'all in Ravenstown, if you're at all interested. We got a good team, with a good front office and coaching staff. And we always love new fans.

No pressure. Mowich, I know you don't pay much attention to the NFL, and I'm perfectly OK if you want to stick with that.

Both of you, and everybody else, this is a free and open invitation. You can come on board, or decline. No hard feelings either way.

I'll start a Ravens thread on the board. Come in, stay out, as best pleases you.

Go Riders!

As the great Yogi put it "It ain't over til it's over."

OK, maybe the Riders won't make the Grey Cup this year. Guess what? Neither will seven other teams. Maybe they won't even make the playoffs.

But last week I saw some signs for hope. A better QB, a more disciplined defense.

It ain't over yet.

Go Riders!

So these are the Baltimore Ravens you are talking about Tec, 'scuse the ignorance but as you say I am not much of a NFL fan. That said, my neighbor is a huge Ravens fan and talks about them a lot. Tell you what I'll start tuning in to watch Raven games, listen more closely to what Roy has to say about them and let you know what I think okay. Hard to refuse a request of a fellow Rider fan.

I do appreciate it. And if you decide you don't really like the more spatially cramped, more regulated game, I got no problem if you drop out.

As I've always said, the CFL game and the NFL game are two separate games. They're close enough that crossover ain't too tough, and I certainly tout the CFL to all my football-starved buddies at work.

It'd be good to hear your thoughts on the American game. I see good sides and bad sides compared to the Canadian game.

Think black and purple.

Go Ravens! Go Riders!

P.S. I've signed onto the Riders chatboard as RavenRider. Maybe I'll see you there.
