Mueller is making a mint from the US taxpayers and the US taxpayers’ ROI is pretty much $0.

Meuller is making about $250,000 a year and if you think that's a "mint", you must be on welfare. A guy with Meuller's experience and achievement would be earning 20X that in the private sector. Frankly,I don't know how people like Meuller put up with such paltry compensation considering the constant attacks on their persons coming from hayseeds like you that they have to endure. He seems to have a greater calling, like saving his republic. That he is in any way doing it milk great riches from Uncle Sam is patently ridiculous.

Ever heard of insider trading, elected members of Congress are exempt from those laws and Mueller has been in town so long I’ll sure he has a friend or two in Congress who pass him info now then.

I sure that something like that might be possible but if you believe that Meuller's civil service position is some sort of gravy train, you are delusional, a cheap propagandist or both.

4. Research. That's why I did it. You can learn a lot in a few years, then sell that expertise on the outside.

5. Steady work, decent pay, not too much overtime. Most people don't want to conquer the world, they just want to put in a day's work and get a decent paycheck for it. Most of the career government employees I encounter are like that.

I was actually referring to politically oriented public service.
I wouldn't dream of demeaning a soldier's service by putting them in the same Category.

I also understand that in the alphabet forces C.I.A. ect. recruits start at the bottom and gradually rise through the rank.
And we all have heard about the ratio of power to corruption....
Few are immune.....

Waldo thinks that it's for the money.

Wanting money is a really good reason to steer well clear of the public service.

Honest Don's Used Car Lot ... you didn't know about that one, did you? It used to be a Lada dealer before one of the bankruptcies.
