ES says Russia and Syria only got back 5% of the territory from ISIS, what he conveniently forgets to include that in the 12 months prior to that ISIS gained a lot of ground when the US wad 'bombing them'. You are such a sad little troll aren't you ES?

Actually the Kurds are kicking ISIS azz in conjunction with US and Coalition airstrikes.

The Russian AF, Syrian Army, Hezbollah, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard only managed to take back 5% of the ground they lost. Now the Russians are getting the heck out of there. I'd expect the SAA to lose back that 5% in the coming months.

You are just salty the Russians failed.

Actually it would be consistent with the theme that you can't win a war through air support alone so this is the 'boots on the ground phase'. If the Syrian army needs support it will be coming with Iranian troops.

Air support ... gunnery ... both are artillery and no one has ever seen a war using artillery only. More often that not, the effect has been to harden your enemy's resolve. Berlin didn't surrender until the Red Army occupied every square inch of the rubble. The carpet bombing didn't do it, nor did the artillery siege.

That is what the Syrian army and Hezbollah are doing, you don't need a lot of bombers for that phase of the operation or the phase that sees the refugees returning home. You know the ones displaced to cover the retreat of ISIS into the EU.

Putin Says Russia's Syria Campaign Cost Just $460 Million

For a country that relies on half of their revenues coming from gas and petroleum sales from $100 barrels, $480,000,000 may be a major chunk of their fluidity.

Russian Carpet bombing did drive the rats back into some of their holes but the Russians were unwilling to leave the fence line on foot and Assad's troops were ineffective on the ground.

You obviously badly need a better news venue. ISIS is broken. Soon a so called coalition aircraft will test the S400 system. The Russians can be back in Syria in under three days. Yer full of FOX and CNN.

You really are desperate for some good news for your side aren't you??

Daesh Propaganda Fail: Moscow Slams 'Fake' Reports of Attack on Syria Base
MOSCOW(Sputnik) — The Russian Defense Ministry categorically denied on Tuesday reports of alleged destruction of Russian helicopters operating in Syria and casualties among the personnel of the Russian airbase near Syria's Latakia. Earlier in the day, US-based intelligence analysis company Stratfor said in a report that Daesh jihadists possibly destroyed four Russian Mi-24 attack helicopters in an artillery attack on an airbase in Syria. The firm cited satellite imagery it acquired.

Shouldn't you be bragging up some actual events??

US Downplays a New Syrian Massacre by Its 'Moderate Rebels'
The incident, which occurred about 10 miles north of Aleppo, couldn’t have been more embarrassing for the United States since, just a day earlier, it had blocked a Russian proposal to formally designate Ahrar al-Sham as a terrorist group.

Under intense questioning, State Department spokesman John Kirby grew visibly flustered as he struggled to defend US policy.
“I’m not going to get into internal deliberations one way or the other,” he said of the discussions among the 17 members of the International Syria Support Group, the United Nations body in charge of Syrian peace talks in Vienna. When a reporter from the “Russia Today” TV network demanded to know why, he sputtered:
“I’m telling you – look, you’re putting – I love how you do this, try to put everything on the United States. The International Syria Support Group is an international – it represents the international community. Iran is a member. Russia is a member. Saudi Arabia – I could go on and on and on. All of them collectively made this decision.”
This was nonsense since it was the U.S. that led the charge against the resolution to classify Ahrar al-Sham as terrorist and Russia that was forced to back down. Kirby was simply dodging the issue. But if his inability to take responsibility shows anything, it is how uncomfortable at least some Washington officials have become with the Obama administration’s Syrian policy.

More bad news for your side.

Russia's Bagged 28,000 Terrorists Since Start of Campaign, 1/3 of ISIS Wiped Out
Since Moscow started its air operation in Syria on September 30 last year, the Russian Air Force has eliminated over a third of Islamic State fighters in the country, the deputy head of Russia’s top security body revealed.
“We estimate that at the beginning of our operation Al-Nusra Front and Islamic State [IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL] possessed about 80,000 fighters, of whom 28,000 (35 percent) have already been eliminated. This is [the result of] our actions together with the Syrian Army,” Evgeny Lukyanov said at the VII international security summit being held in Grozny, the capital of Russia’s Chechen Republic.

How about a shot that shows a clear image or is that beyond the US capabilities? The runways are from Tiyas Airbase but if you can say the smudges are choppers and other items put in a request for a better satellite.

The bomb damage (caved in roofs of cars) suggests the explosion was above the vehicle so that would make is a missile attack rather than Is and some car bombs.
That Syrian Observer sure gets all the scoops don't they? (and they say basement dwellers are shutins.

The smudges WERE Russian choppers... now they're just smudges. :)

Oh yes... we haven't even got to the attacks in Assad's "stronghold".

And you thought it was over. lmao.

The grind continues.

When did I say it was over?
If only 28,000 were popped out of 80,000 then there is a ways to go. The extension is harder on the US than it is on Syria or Russia. Time is on their side rather than on the side of Saudi or Turkey or the US and their crony friends.

There is nothing but time.

These attacks exposed yet another great weakness in the Russian-Syrian Alliance.
