Iceland doesn't have anything to say about events in Syria, Their biggest concern seems to be a pooping tourist. Reminds me of the carefree days of my youth. The local paper was full of farming stories. Come to think of it, the paper is still reporting farm news.

This photo of a pooping tourist caused quite a stir yesterday. Photo/Þorkell Daníel Eiríksson

Pooping tourist "Mainly broke manner rules." says local police

He first and foremost broke normal manner rules," says Selfoss chief of police Oddur Árnason with regards to the tourist who went to the toilet in the driveway of a local farm, right next to the postbox.

Asked by our sister publication mbl.is whether the man had committed an offence, according to the law he says that most likely the tourist was breaking the 17th article in Icelandic nature protection laws, where it states that people travelling around Iceland should show respect to landowners and follow their rules and regulations when traversing their land. The law also state that people should not leave waste or garbage behind at a picnic stop or camping site.

These sort of cases are not reported regularly to the police. "I've heard of this kind of thing but it's very rare that they end up on our desk," says Árnason.

Farmer Þorkell Daníel Eiríksson in Fljótsdalur, South Iceland, was less than pleased at the sight of a tourist with his pants down doing a number two at the farm's post box in the driveway. He has had enough of tourists pooping wherever they please in Iceland.

I think you missed the jailing of crooked bankers and politicians a few years back. Since then things like this are the biggest crime in that country.
Does that need to be explained in detail to you so you can understand it?? If so, book a flight to Iceland, the new Land of the free as America is now 'the land of the stupidest people on the planet'.

Really??
'The chemical attack prompted the U.S. to launch nearly 60 Tomahawk missiles on a Syrian air base early Friday, which killed nine people and marked the first time Washington has directly targeted Syrian government forces since the war began in 2011.'
You seem to have forgotten the soldiers that were killed by a US raid only to have Putin kill a number of CIA and Mossad spooks that were deep inside Syria calling the shots for ISIS. I'm sure this attack gave the Israeli leader a woodie that probably lasted for more than a full day.
Suddenly the lives of civilians mean nothing to the US if they are bombing various place with no clear objective in mind other than to show how truly insane they are.

Many nations of the world look to CNN for news information. Whether their reporting is always accurate has been a matter of debate for a while. Regardless, what they tell the rest of the world can be revealing.

This story is running today. I suspect more information gathering feelers are out.

US envoy Nikki Haley says Syria regime change is 'inevitable'

(CNN) The US ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, has told CNN that removing Syrian President Bashar al-Assad from power is a priority, cementing an extraordinary U-turn in the Trump administration's stance on the embattled leader.

Two days after the US launched military strikes on a Syrian airbase in response to a chemical weapons attack widely blamed on the Assad regime, Haley said the departure of Assad was inevitable.

Before Tuesday's attack on the rebel-held town of Khan Sheikhoun, which killed 89 people, Haley had said toppling Assad was not a priority. President Donald Trump, before his election, described fighting ISIS and seeking Assad's removal at the same time as "idiocy."

But after seeing images of the horrific aftermath of the chemical attack, US President Donald Trump ordered a bombardment of the Shayrat airbase in western Syria, which the US believes was the launchpad for the strike. It was the first time that the US had struck the Syrian regime since the start of the six-year civil war.

Russia, Iran vow continued military support for Assad

The Wicked Zionists (or Shylock) want all countries of the world to support the Zionism, so that they can kill all Muslims and they will then satisfy and contend .. then the Wicked Zionists may afterwards kill each other.

It can't be, Zionist, that all the world will aid and confirm your evil.

God may make equilibrium at this time so as to suppress your evil, that is before eradicating you and rid the world of your wickedness and all seditions which you stir everywhere.

As have the Zionist intelligence made the explosion of the churches in Egypt so as to provoke against Muslims.

Wiping out the Muslims is just the first group that are in line for extermination. Just so one very tiny group of people can feel safe.

I didn't order the strike Nassir, but support it.

Are you living in your bomb shelter? You obviously didn't get taken out. Why did you vote for Assad? I know that you are a member of Hezbollah. What are they saying about the strike?

WRT the 27 Christians killed in Egypt, I doubt God had anything to do with that. It would be men who did that. God doesn't order hits. If He wants to take someone out, I suspect that He would do it himself.

He does let us know a hit is coming, that we try and avoid it is left to us. ignoring the warnings are at a persons own peril.

Jer:25:31-33:
A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth;
for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations,
he will plead with all flesh;
he will give them that are wicked to the sword,
saith the LORD.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts,
Behold,
evil shall go forth from nation to nation,
and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth:
they shall not be lamented,
neither gathered,
nor buried;
they shall be dung upon the ground.

Zec:13:8:
And it shall come to pass,
that in all the land,
saith the LORD,
two parts therein shall be cut off and die;
but the third shall be left therein.
Zec:13:9:
And I will bring the third part through the fire,
and will refine them as silver is refined,
and will try them as gold is tried:
they shall call on my name,
and I will hear them:
I will say,
It is my people:
and they shall say,
The LORD is my God.

The leaders of the world are the first ones taken out, then their followers, then no sinners exist forever.

An interesting opinion piece in Al Jazeera today, written by a Moscow based journalist, Roman Dobrokhotov. Careful Roman, you could 'disappear'.

Cole's Notes for Dobrokhotov's article.

- more disappointment and excuses from Putin - there was no chemical attack to begin with
- the excuses were for Russia's citizens
- Putin can do what he wants in Syria because Russians don't care
- Putin didn't get rid of chemical wpns in Syria and this is hurting his reputation on the world stage
- US/Russian relations have been dealt a serious blow
- From the article: Can the international community react to war crimes in Syria in a way that Putin cannot use to fortify his power?

The chemical brothers: Putin and Assad
What would Russia's support for Assad cost Vladimir Putin?

This week the world witnessed yet another chemical attack in Syria. After horrendous footage from Khan Sheikhoun showed children suffocating from sarin gas and relatives crying over piles of dead bodies, Russia was forced to react.

But while Washington used the attack as an excuse for missile strikes on a regime-held airbase in southern Syria, Moscow did the exact opposite - it used it as an excuse for more excuses. And the excuse was produced quickly: The ministry of defence announced that there was no chemical attack but that a rocket had hit a stockpile of "terrorists'" chemical weapons, which led to the release of the poisonous gas.

To many Russian journalists, this explanation sounded familiar. In 1999, during another "counterterrorism operation" (the one that brought Vladimir Putin to the presidency), a Russian rocket attack hit the central market in Chechnya's capital Grozny. Between 60 and 140 people died, hundreds were injured. The Russian authorities were quick to announce that the incident was caused by an explosion of a stockpile of weapons belonging to the "terrorists".

The rest here.

A stray missile better not hit my stockpile. It's laundry day.
If it does you will at least know it was American and not Russian. (or in your specific case it would probably be a double tap with both countries firing at you)

When in doubt dig the hole a little deeper. lol. Things to bad at home for there to be any kind of fix that doesn't require all the oild in the Muddle East?

US President Donald Trump and his administration consider the possibility of introducing sanctions against Russia and Iran for supporting the Syrian government, according to US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US President Donald Trump is discussing with members of his administration the possibility of introducing sanctions against Russia and Iran for supporting the Syrian government, US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said Sunday.
Haley told CNN in an interview that Trump and his administration were shown classified information proving that Syrian President Bashar Assad had been involved in the alleged chemical attack against civilians in Syria’s Idlib.
On Thursday night, the United States launched 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles at the military airfield in Ash Sha’irat. US President Donald Trump said that the attack was a response to the alleged chemical weapon use in Syria's Idlib province on Tuesday, which resulted in the death of over 80 people, an incident which Washington blames on the Syrian government.

You have a way with words, Nassir.

What are your Hezbollah friends saying? More bombs are coming, you know. The meeting between the US and Russia is not going to be good.

Assad is going to cause more suffering. Do you have a bunker? You'll need it.

Living in fear can be a terrible thing, eh Nassir?

What did they say tonight when you went to the mosque? Generally, you do not hear cruise missiles coming in. You only hear the explosions.
