Bush's minority just got smaller. Maybe Bush will do the decent thing and follow.

When it is said the second most powerful political figure in the US in the Speaker of the House, it is no joke. I feel like playing The Winds of Change. :D

Ahhh you gotta like Rumsfeld. He didn't take any s*** from the press. That is why people liked him to begin with. But as the war dragged on it just was not cutting it.

The American people love when the press corps gets zinged. They can be just as pompous as any politician and are even more egotistical. Who didn't enjoy themsleves when Dan Rather fell on his face?

I have to admit, I love seeing the journalists getting a dose of their own medicine.

Rummy is an old warrior and I hope if I ever get to his age - I have as much wit and grumpiness as he does...

He isn't a politician shining the boots of the newshounds.... he's a military, government bred, paranoid patriot who doesn't suffer fools gladly, nor does he embellish his own sphere of activities.

If anyone wants to know how sleazy and ugly war is - listen to Rummy some time. No wonder the press and public don't like the man - he's talking about war....not the lastest flower show in Washington.

I guess I like him because whether I agree with him or not - you never leave "not" knowing what he thinks.
He's served his masters well and these days - it's hard to find that kind of loyalty in face of all the name calling and finger pointing directed at him. He must be made of Kevlar.

Well you can't expect them to put Ted Turner or Martin Sheehan in there.

The next one will be less abrasive and more open. The press likes to be coddled like children.

Actually that's one of the things I liked about him. He didn't take any **** from the press, and yes, I always liked that. However, multiple high ranking officers under his command criticised him repeatedly for not listening to sound military advice, this is what I accuse him for.
