The British and Japanese have a lot in common.

They are both very populous, overcrowded island nations off the coast of a continent.

They both have a love of tea.

They are both reserved and polite.

They both had vast empires.

They both have ancient monarchies of which they are very proud.

They both have strange, odd, and eccentric customs which can baffle foreigners.

They both have powerful popular cultures which are popular throughout the globe.

Yes, much like the Briddish, except far less violent and imperialistic, and far more cultured.

Nothing wrong with being imperialistic. It gave us the largest empire the world has ever known.

Yep. That's another one. It's always seemed strange how you lot drive on the right. Your steering wheels are on the wrong side of the vehicle. It's rather odd.

Only the insular ... island dwellers seem to drive on the left. It is probably a side effect of excessive in-breeding.

Well island countries are, by their very nature, insular. According to the dictionary, "insular" means "relating to or from an island."

But it's not just island narions which drive on the left. The Indians and the Pakis do. So do the mini-Chinkies in Thailand, as well as the whole of southern Africa. Those English-speaking countries in northern South America which were once part of the British Empire also drive on the left.

Canada is odd for a British Empire country which drives on the right. But, then again, Canada always blindly follows what its giant southern neighbour does.

Sensible people drive on the right. Blighters generally do things the hard way.

The only reason they drive on the left is of course leftist. A way to keep their auto industry from being crushed.

Would a royal baby watch be similar?
