Roof rake for snow?

Been using one for years. We are in the snow belt of Ontario. My house doesn't have a steep pitch, so I worry about ice dams building up. It's not hard to do if you do it while the snow is still nice and fluffy.

I'll need shingles in the next couple years. I'm going to use sheet metal instead. I'll be long dead before it ever needs to be placed. No leaks, no worries about hail, snow slides off and it will never moss up.

I,ve seen metal roofs moss up on the island. Usually where fools build under a canopy of trees and the house never gets any sunlight.

Yes. I clean up under the skylight to avoid an ice dam and any leaks.

I think my next roof might be metal as well.
