My opinion is Obama had Romney on all the important topics discussed- While one may disagree with the policies of one or the other. Obama was well prepared. Romney still has no answers on tax cuts- the 7 trillion- no reasonable answers how- when - what will be cut.

And after the 1st debate the members who posted that Obama could not hold his own- well that is clearly partisanship showing. Anyone with the sense of a BC Pine knows Obama was tested time and again when running in the Primaries and the Presidential debates with McCain.

My problem with Romney and Ryan are the numbers they are selling do not add up- Several economists along with the CBO laid it all out.
No hard facts to go on.

This election should have been a coronation for the winner of the Republican Primary- They have no one to blame but a Party that is fractured and partly dysfunctional.

President Obama Had a Lot of Negative Things to Say About Romney, But Not Much to Say About These Three Charts

Based on the things not mentioned in his agenda, it seems the president doesn’t really have a solution for our economy. He just knows he doesn’t like Romney’s.

The economy for the last two decades was propped up by a false housing market - which if anyone noticed, collapsed. What would those old numbers look like if housing wasn't traded like a ponzi scheme for nearly two decades? How many jobs were created from essentially false real estate valuations?

Perhaps the jobs market is where it should be, given the 3 decades of corporate job exports.

Obama is exactly right, investing in education is the priority because that is who will create the next fortunes. Corporations don't create jobs.

It took Japan over a decade to stop the bleeding from their housing economic-bubble collapse.

By 2084 we'll be right on track with the direction Reagan took everyone on.

Oh yes- 1 more point- if you can find how Romney can make those tax cuts without any loss on Federal Revenue please send that to Mitt as he can still not explain it and I am sure he needs the help.

Did he really say that? Really? I thought his plan was to offset the loss in revenue by closing deductions as well as cutting waste in spending and increasing the tax base by jobs created as a result of the cuts. Why would he be talking about offsetting the loss in revenue caused by the lower rate if he claimed he "can make those tax cuts without any loss on Federal Revenue"?

So how did Romney do. Now be honest.

Romney Caught Lying, Fact-Checked by Candry Crowley on Obama's Response to Benghazi Attack - YouTube

Don't tell me....the first clip was an example of the aggressive bully Romney interupting Dear leader. The nerve.

The second clip I trust has been sufficiently covered by now, as what happens when a moderator lies in the defense of one of the debaters. It was a calculated move. They knew darn well 40 million people would see the debate, but far fewer would see the corrections and backpeddling. It was a calculated move, the Chicago politics we were told to expect.

What they won't tell you, for example, is that under George W. Bush, the price of gasoline increased from $1.60 per gallon when he took office in January 2001 to $4.40 per gallon in July 2008, a jump of 275 percent.

Now it's true that when the economy crashed, the price of gasoline decreased temporarily, in part because the economic meltdown suppressed demand. When Obama took office in January, 2009, the economy was at its low point, and as a result the price of gas was at a low point as well. As the economy improved under Obama's direction, the price of gas returned to its pre-crash baseline
.
So the GOP deceptions are based on conveniently forgetting that: (1) the low, 2009 price of gas was simply a reflection of the economic meltdown that they helped cause; (2) before the crash, gas was even more expensive under Bush than it is now; and (3) rising gas prices are a reflection of our economic rebound.

Even worse, the GOP critique glosses over that Republicans have torpedoed every attempt to try to wean the country off of its oil dependency, which is of course the only long-run solution to higher gas prices and global warming.

But here's the rub. The GOP knows full well that if you repeat a lie often enough, you can redefine the truth.

Sure, another pipeline here and offshore rig there will enable us to ignore our addiction for a few more years, but if the Republicans really want to avoid returning to Bush-era gas prices over the long term, they need to support policies that address demand, not just supply. We can't drill our way back to cheap oil.
