Yes and it also opens up a new avenue for political discussion that have nothing to do with politics! Brilliant! Just what politics needs! More diversion!

And my memory is a little fuzzy. What did Nixon own again? ;)

Anything he could steal.

You realize that many people have their dogs loose in the back of pickups with no cap on.

Yeah, and it's actually illegal in many jurisdictions. Put a leash on it and it's fine. My better half's family was pulled over driving from Nova Scotia to Florida, in some state, can't remember which one. Anyways, her uncle's German shepherd was unrestrained in the van. The highway patrol told him the dog had to have a seat belt on.

Luggage racks are meant for luggage, dog carriers are meant to be in the car.

This is like going to a reunion of family, how many times have we heard the dog story now?
I don't like any of these people but really picking on things that happened nearly thirty years
ago, means you have run out of new antics to criticize. Not only are they nuts now they are
becoming boring too.

It's a long time from throwing your hat in the ring to being picked by your party to run as the Presidential candidate. The past will always be dug up, exhumed for anything that might stick.

Trying to add to the comedy I see. You're not as practiced apparently

George W. Bush had Scottish terriers and an English springer spaniel. Clinton had a Labrador retriever. George HW Bush had an English springer spaniel. Reagan had a golden retriever, a cavalier king, a Bouvier, a Siberian husky, an Irish setter, and a Belgian sheepdog.

None of those are American breeds. In fact the nearest you could arguably say that any President recently had an American breed was LBJ, who had a mixed breed dog. For pure breeds you have to go all the way to Theodore Roosevelt, who owned a Chesapeake Bay retriever.

I wonder. Wouldn't the only true American breed have to be some dog descended from those of the Native Americans?

Romney made it perfectly clear that the kennel he kept his dog in and transported on the roof of his station wagon was windproof and perfectly safe in every possible way.

You can see almost every day people with dogs driving with the dog hanging out the window, vulnerable to be hit by anything that might be flying in the air. Romney`s dog in the kennel is far safer than the dogs exposed to irresponsible, but sanctimonious dog owners who let their dogs poke their heads out of their cars and take chances on their dogs getting hit by flying dust, air-borne particles or just the wind. I am sure they would be just as happy to their kids to be just as happy and just as vulnerable as their pets. Yeah, right!

Romney can say what he wants, but vomit doesn't blow out of a 'windproof' kennel and run all over the car.

BTW... the picture of Obama's dog isn't how loving dog owners transport either :) A loving owner puts them in a harness and buckles them in so that they are not thrown about, becoming 20 razor blades flying through the vehicle and smashing their bodies up.
