Hate to break your bubble, but Telus is having the same problem. The last round, people couldn't call 911 on cell phones. This included all the carriers that piggyback on Telus towers.

What a nightmare…& on a Friday. I don’t know how much of Ontario‘s land lines and cell phones let alone internet so emails & texts on top of the Interac issue are affected, but damn.

Try running a trucking company in today’s world with no email or Internet or texts to have your drivers or cell phones, Setting up border crossings with Brokers that can’t be reached, or arranging deliveries on the weekend with dealerships that have no access to the outside world… or the drivers that don’t have hardcopies of ArriveCAN in their trucks… or their fuel cards aren’t working or their debit cards or their credit cards due to this with respect to fuel or food, etc….. what a long goddamn day.

As the cashier put it when I went in before work to get breakfast/supper at the store (paraphrasing):

After a year of telling people to carry no cash but use debit, now suddenly they need to have cash cause debit won't work.

I feel sorry for a co-worker/friend of mine though who just left. She hasn't been able to use her phone all day from this, so she could not check/monitor her blood sugars, could not conduct her union business...

The "we're fixing it asap" isn't enough.
