Don't be silly (if you can possibly avoid it). Do you have insurance?

I carry a gun wherever I can legally do so, for the same reason I carry a multi-tool. Might could come in handy.

Where is this place where one is perfectly safe from all possibility of crime?

Where did I say anything about being perfectly safe from all possibility of crime? Sharpen up your thinking, BriggsandStratton.

You carry a gun because you expect you might have to shoot someone. Great. Sounds like a stupid way to live.

OK, so you seem to be saying that one might become a victim of crime anywhere. That was my point.

And what will you do if someone threatens you or yours?

I've never understood idiots who willingly live in a place where they feel they have to be armed in order to be safe.

What a loser.

I live in Canada.. idiot..

If I carry a firearm it's for 2 reasons, protection and work.

Oh and I hate when people say gun, or weapon.. it's a firearm and in Canada you need to go through training to obtain a Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) before you can buy a firearm or ammunition.

Also there are 2 kinds of licenses, restricted and non-restricted, not to mention RCMP background checks out your ass, criminal checks, calling family, references.. making sure you have no depression or mental issues.

I feel safer around owners of firearms than people who don't own firearms. ;)

Further you can acquire your CCW in Canada and be one of the lucky 1000 if you have a good attorney and can prove you are proficient in the use of a firearm.

The only time I have ever had to use my firearm to deter a thief was in Utah. I was a sleep in the back of my Tractor Trailer and was awaken when my rig was rocking. Looked out the curtains and some nut was trying to break in.

I took my 9mm and tapped on the window with a smile.. the guy hopped on his bicycle and rode away. I called the police, let them know what I did..

Later the police return with the guy in the back of their car and his bicycle in the trunk to identify the guy.

Other than that I enjoy shooting and teaching others to shoot and how to use a firearm correctly and safely. Where I use to work, I think half of my co-workers went shooting with me..

It's interesting how many people have never held a firearm in their lives.

...

I'm a homophone because I don't like wresting, you poor guy..

My passion is NOT some juvenile WWF, TKO or KO.. or whatever you kids watch on TV between American Idol and the Simpsons.

I prefer a more efficient way of deterring a robbery..

You're a homophobe because you weaponize same sex relations.

And a TKO and KO has zero to do with the WWF.

Apparently Canadians (or at least some Canadians) don't understand that a boxing match (or MMA or UFC match) ideally ends with a knockout, and that a wrestling match ideally ends with a pin.
