I agree, except for the FACT that a judge disagreed with the FACT that he was barred, because of political interference, based solely on alleged crimes.

Through all this incessant nattering about charging Cheney for torture and brutality, I find it strange that no member of the military is being charged.
You are probably right about wasting my time. Nothing will come out of it anyhow. Hi level politicians can get away with "murder" and not a person is going to do anything about it. Money and power are the determining factors. The law factors in only to find the essential loopholes to do what is ordinarily illegal, immoral and unethical.
Just like there are different rules for the celebs in the US , there are different rules for their wealthy politicians while the rest of the population is not even encouraged to question things. IF another nation or leadership did what the bush/cheney gang did ......the US would be screaming bloody murder in judgement ...........and most likely send out an assassiantion team.
THat is the nature of their society now. IMHO......it is still important that some ( a minority , granted) continue to assess these situations and people within a legal and ethical framework.

.........for one thing the military in the US is next to god. They are revered as such ,and far too blindly. The lower level ones actually caught in atrocious acts get a slap on the hand , a talking to and sometimes something a little stronger.
