ID is Govt issued, vouching is confirming an identity. It's not ID.

A person must still identify his or herself. There is no need to do that here... just give them a name and address... no identification required.

You could walk in and vote for me, not a word would be said. They're trying to prevent that.

Then they need to get a copy of Elections Canada's methodology of at least proving a residence within the riding (I don't know the US term) and vouching.

They do!

But that is considered racist.

Democrats have no faith in minority voters being able to prove a place of residency. They do not think they are smart enough.

That's what utility bills, library cards, a rent receipt do. I guess that is why Elections Canada decides all this and parties have no f*cking say.

Yeah... but having to show any of those things in order to prove who you are when voting restricts voting rights on minorities so we are told.

Welfare stubs prove identity. In Canada I doubt there are many minorities who don't collect a GST rebate cheque.

Yes... that would be restrictive. The mere idea of suggesting any form of identification is racist.

These all seem very reasonable.

However the Democrats have "0" faith in their base to do any of the above. They deem their base too stupid and lazy to do simple tasks such as have an ID to vote. In fact they think so many of their party are too stupid and lazy that they could even lose an election if ANY sort of identification is required.

Maybe the US needs a separate entity to decide like Elections Canada rather than Congress or the Senate.

I like this one: One of the following, issued by the responsible authority of a shelter, soup kitchen, student/senior residence, or long-term care facility: Attestation of Residence, Letter of Stay, Admission Form or Statement of Benefits
