Sherlock Holmes. Lots of good action but if you are looking for something more cerebral, try Snow White or another Disney movie.

Just watched "Complicated" with Streep and Baldwin. Definitely worth a watch. Has anyone seen "Men who stare at goats"?

I bought Defendor with Woody Harrelson.
it was better than avatar storywise.
A dark comedy about a mentally challenged superhero with home made gadgets...
Sad ending tho. Woody sold his roll well as I was dragged in

I second 'Gone Baby Gone' - excellent 'discussion' movie.

The Stoning of Soraya M - unbelievably sad

3:10 to Yuma - great western

Rat Race - friggin hilarious

And definately - Avatar

growing op

the green chain

the tracey fragments

these are some of the more recent films I've seen and enjoyed. although 'the green chain' is more of a debate than entertainment.

Benny and Joon was so good, I just rented part one and two
of the godfather, only saw the first one years ago, so
thought I should go back and catch up, excellent movies.

Saint John, N.B.
The Blind Side.

Saw it last night.

Just shows what a good Christian Republican wife and mother with a lifetime membership in the NRA and a license to carry can accomplish......:)

All kidding aside, a great movie! I enjoyed it immensely, especially the little boy........

just finished watching part 3 of the godfather, very very
intense, I'll watch all of them again in a few months, to
gather more detailed information, as it is a little hard
to follow some of the time.

In all honesty, I don't rent movies anymore. I don't know a lot of people who do, either.

I still do buy movies, though. Recently picked up The Wolfman on Blu-Ray. I recommend it - fun watch, Del Toro's Wolfman looks spectacular thanks to the legendary Rick Baker, and the unrated, extended cut is definitely worth your time.

Here's a clip of Baker, heh:

Why rent a movie, when in probably no more than three months it will be on one of the movie channels?

Some are worth rening/buying on BluRay as quality is considerably better then what you will get from Rogers/Shaw/Bell etc. Currently, there is no 1080p content available from the broadcasters so your only choice is rent/buy.

We finally watched "Avatar". We enjoyed it. Great FX. Predicatble story line, but who cares? If you want depth, don't watch it. If you want entertainment, it's cool.
