If it's in Wikipedia, it is true!
Quote:
"In 1930, a newsman in Le Pas, Manitoba, reported on a small Inuit village right off of Lake Angikuni. The village had always welcomed the fur trappers who passed through occasionally. But in 1930 Joe Labelle, a fur trapper well known in the village, found that all the villagers had gone. He found unfinished shirts that still had needles in them and food hanging over fire pits and therefore concluded that the villagers had left suddenly. Even more disturbing, he found seven sled dogs dead from starvation and a grave that had been dug up. Labelle knew that an animal could not have been responsible because the stones circling the grave were undisturbed. He reported this to the RCMP, who conducted a search for the missing people; no one was ever found."
Back in the 70s I found a miners cabin up near Barkerville, east of Quesnel, that looked like someone had gone off to work for the day and never came back. The breakfast dishes were still in the basin, dishes on the table and there was food in the cupboards, clothes hanging from hooks...but it looked like nobody had been there in decades. Either the guy died or he was the biggest slob on the planet.

Or both.

Flight 19 fascinated me when I was a kid. In my youth I was all into the Bermuda Triangle and the possibility of aliens abducting them. As I "matured" (sort of) the logical theories were just as fascinating. How they could get so lost and the Flight Leader was no rookie, albeit the other members of the flight were just that. The main theory was the flight leader thought he was in the Gulf of Mexico when he most likely was in the Atlantic. He figured if he would just keep heading east he'd hit Florida... so he may have been heading out to sea. Yikes.

Well heck.............I thought all these guys came back when the mother ship deposited them on Devil's Tower. Sorry Eagle, couldn't resist.

For sure this is a great mystery. The other one that pops up from time to time is the final resting place of Amelia Earhart.

Oh that was at the height of the Flight 19/Bermuda Triangle craze. All the Bermuda Triangle shows/movies had Flight 19 in it.

"Lt. Charles Taylor, United States Navy"
"Welcome home son"

That is another good one. Sadly there would not be much left of her plane.

But you know what... somewhere out there are the remains of Flight 19 and Earhart's plane. It would be something if someone could find them.

With Spock narrating the Mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle TV show in the 70's it sounded quite convincing.

He is after all Pt Vulcan and part Jewish..

Maybe it was a blue spot that did it?

Ah yes!.

It was quality work shot in 16mm to video for that 40's 50's overexposed, grainy picture with garbbled audio feel to it which segways right into my theory on why it's impossible to get a clear image of Big Foot from film stock or even digital.

Big Foot is blurry.

It all makes pefect sense.

Big Foot is blurry because he doesn't normally inhabit the 3rd dimension. What people see is mostly an apparition. Occasionally it does fully manifest here and leave physical proof like hair and foot prints. I knew a Doukhobor woman who claimed to have had contact with them up in Valhalla Park across Slocan lake from New Denver. They used to play tricks on her when she was camping up there. I'm sure that she believed her experiences were real, but not having had any myself, I reserve the right to be skeptical until I do.
