Yes, I think that if all I did is stop the guy , detained him and called the cops, she would question why I acted without any angry emotions.
I think the majority of females would expect their husbands to go buck wild at the sight of their true love in this kind of distress.
When you try to play "hero" you often end up worse than the victim. Shooting the guy is the safest way to put an end to it.

Well, if the alleged rapist was able to do that, I probably wouldn't have been abLE to beat him within an inch of his life in the first place so the whole conversation would be moot.
