Gopher likes the economy????
And he likes charts??????
Straight from the CBO
Note the treasury bill values ...when you print money....

Charts: 10 Years in the U.S. Economy, According to CBO - Real Time Economics - WSJ

I was watching a financial program on C.B.C. yesterday and actually the U.S. economy is on the rise, unemployment is going down, productivity is up and the stock markets are booming. U.S. is actually ahead of Canada in some respects and is leaps and bounds ahead of Europe. I guess if Obama deserves criticism when they are in a slump, he deserves praise now.

I hear you, the President really doesn't have much control over finances either way, but I do get kind of tired of the negative remarks about President Obama and he's really in a "no win" situation. But I was thinking that since the main money indicators are up, people might lay off him. Of course since they were so sure the "sky was falling" when he got reelected, now they might now be too happy to admit they were wrong and have to rethink their position.-:)

How many of the new jobs are part time and how many are full time? I bet you can't answer that question.

No benes with part-time.

The benefit is the pay cheque!

No benes with part-time.

How the hell could the employer possibly be able to afford to pay full benefits for a part time employee. Have you an inkling how much all the benefits cost? I think they get the benefit of being able to pay into C.P.P. and qualify for W.C.B. if they get injured on the job!

30.9% of total compensation costs in the U.S.

That doesn't surprise me one bit. Vacation leave is generally 4-6% for a starting employee, then there is sick leave, maternity leave, compassionate leave, stress leave, Union business leave and then on top of that there is medical, dental, W.C.B. employers contribution to C.P.P. plus the company pension fund, Xmas bonuses and probably a dozen more I haven't thought of including theft from the work site!
