Yea, what he said the fat lady has sung. It is over

That is how the Tea Party sees it anyway. Typical Tea party scenario goes like this: after 2010 election, Republicans end up with perhaps 60 seats in the Senate, 400 or 450 seats in the House.

Then in 2012 elections Republicans win the presidency (Palin, of course), increase their majorities further in senate and House. Then they really can bring paradise, Second Coming to USA, the way they did from 2000 to 2008. The Republican agenda of converting USA into a Fundamentalist Theocracy will proceed like grease lightening.

Fat lady may have sung, but to what end?

Really? Since when is National Review, a right wing publication, sycophant of Obama? It is a sycophant all right, but of the Tea Party, not of the Democratic Party.

Once again, SirJosephPorter, you revealed your inability to see past the publisher and see what they said. Or, for that matter, to read.

The - admittedly - conservative publication, the Natinal Review, published the poll run by the very definitely liberal James Carville.

There goes your hairbrained theory that you never fail to repeat time after time, ad nauseum, that a conservative publication only voices conservative opinions.

55% is still a valid figure, even some lefties profess socialist ties. Does it matter who says it, not really, the Republicans will win in 2010. Obama on the other hand is leading/forcing us down the socialist trail and that is whay will lead to the Republican victory. Not so sure about Palin in 2012 though, but if she does, guess you will be worrying about the rebirth of the "Knights Templar" .

Oh, so you do admit it is a conservative publication, do you? At least that is something. And yes, it is definitely unreliable if reported in a right wing publication such as National Review.

It is a very big, very extensive poll, out of which NR picked out the one item that it thought showed Obama in the most negative light and reported it. If you look that the entire poll, it is very much a mixed bag. What the poll basically shows is that voters regard Democratic and Republican parties in about the same light, on most issues, the parties score equally.

So the poll is by no means as anti-Obama as NR would have you believe. But this really shows the danger of taking anything that a partisan website takes too seriously. NR has an agenda to promote, so it will selectively report the poll findings to show their side in a positive light, and the other side in a negative light.

It doesn’t matter who conducted the poll, NR still is not a reliable publication. If you want to see what the poll says, refer to the poll itself (and as I said, it is very much a mixed bag), and not NR’s selective reporting of the poll.

Removed from where?? You just linked to it and I just viewed it.

And let's face it, Ron Paul, smart as he may be, has no charisma. He is too 'everyday' American. And Americans - and let us not kid ourselves, Canadians, as well - always need a leader that looks good, sounds good but emptier than a bag of unblown hot air balloons.

Liberal or Conservative, Republican or Democrat.

Sometimes the odds come up with aces like Reagan or Harper. Sometimes they give us snake eyes like Trudeau or Obama.

Really?

Harper has charisma?

Sorry to burst your bubble but the man is an economist and fits the title.

Not a bad PM though.

Here is another conservative Obama bashing (according to SirJosephPorter) poll

Gallup Daily: Obama Job Approval

You know, anything that does not put Obama on a pedestal is "unrelible". And, of course, racist.

That poll is in line with many other polls, I don't have a problem with that. In fact, it is well known that Obama's approval rating is slightly under 50%, have been that way for months now. So what is your point?

SirJosephPorter, here is another FABRICATION by FoxNews:

FOXNews.com - Jimmy Buffett Organizes Gulf Benefit, Blames Bush for Spill

Looking forward to your inevitable and predictable response that it is unreliable, because Jimmy Buffett was misquoted.

I am not interested in anything FOX has to say, YJ. Fox message can be summed up in a few words, Republican good, Democrat bad.

Some complaints:

1. Obama not letting in international help to suck up the oil spill in the gulf when he was offerred help by other countries.

2. Obama apparently quadrupling the horrendous deficit from the previous administration, making the deficit even 4 times worse.

3. Obama obliterating NASA reducing its scope, its goals,

Are you sure of this? I do happen to know that Canada has sent help to the Gulf and this article would seem to contradict your claim.
US accepts Gulf oil spill aid - Americas - Al Jazeera English

Regarding the debt and deficit are you also blaming Obama for something that is really the fault of G.W. Bush, and are you exaggerating the size of the current deficit? This article implies that you are. Budget Explorer: The Complete US Federal Budget

As for NASA it is difficult to condemn Obama for running a deficit while at the same time criticizing him for cutting back costs.

This is one of many reasons Obama is falling in the polls.

BREWSTER, Wash. — The Obama administration has replaced immigration raids at factories and farms with a quieter enforcement strategy: sending federal agents to scour companies’ records for illegal immigrant workers.
While the sweeps of the past commonly led to the deportation of such workers, the “silent raids,” as employers call the audits, usually result in the workers being fired, but in many cases they are not deported.

Obama is not enforcing the present immigration laws of the United States.

"I thought that was YJ's message."

TenPenny, my message is that one needs to be informed, and get the perspective of the view that one opposes, in order to be able to form an opinion worth considering by those who are on either side of you, politically speaking.

To categorically reject an opinion based on not on its merit, but blindly and stupidly strictly on where it was published is the height of ignorance.

People of that mindframe would proudly declare Shakespeare published in paperback pulp fiction and Gilbert and Sullivan sung by African-Americans hip-hop.
