Without question... Massachusetts is one of the most liberal states in the Union. It has always been a Democrat stronghold and I wonder why any Presidential candidate would even come here to campaign. It has always been a lock for Democrats.
The few GOP reps here in Mass are a lot like they are nationally and hail mostly from the rural central and western part of our small state. There is just so few of them and they are not a threat at all to any vote. They are much like mosquitos. They can be slapped away easily when they start buzzing.
The only anomaly we have here is the Governor's seat. Republicans have been successful in obtaining that seat but it is really not a powerful seat at all. The real power rests with the State Legislature. They can overide any governors veto with ease.
I always thought the the northern Republicans were a little less socially conservative then their souther counterparts.
Is Romney fairly popular?
