Pelosi Confuses 11th And 14th Amendments: “Whatever It Is, I’m With The Constitution”…

Sure you are.
(CNSNews.com) – House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) confused the 14th and 11th Amendments when suggesting the president could bypass Congress and unilaterally raise the debt ceiling, saying, “Whatever it is, I’m with the constitution.”

During her weekly press conference on Capitol Hill on Thursday, Pelosi was asked about the need for two separate deals in Congress to both raise the approaching debt ceiling and address the expiration of the Bush era tax cuts.

“I would hope not,” Pelosi said. “I would hope that by now—well, me, I’m with the 11th Amendment, so.”

“Is it the 11th Amendment?” she asked. “That—14th is it?”

“Whatever it is, I’m with the Constitution of the United States,” said the Minority Leader.

Obama Allies Accuse Israel Of “Indiscriminate Slaughter” In Gaza…

No surprise given the two groups, CAIR and the ADC.
Via WFB:
Two Muslim advocacy groups closely allied with the Obama administration are aggressively attacking Israel and defending the terror group Hamas as it continues to fire rockets at Israeli civilians.

The Obama-aligned American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) issued a statement condemning “the continuing Israeli aggression and indiscriminate slaughter of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.”

The statement omits all mention of terrorism and continued rocket assaults on Israeli citizens that have already claimed the lives of three people. It omits any mention of the week of Palestinian rocket attacks on Israel that preceded the Israeli retaliation. More than 500 rockets have been fired at Israel since Saturday. [...]

Meanwhile, another controversial Muslim group courted by the Obama administration articulated its own sharp criticism of Israel. An official of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) called for Palestinian violence against Israelis.

“Palestine is a land occupied by foreign settlers,” CAIR official Cyrus McGoldrick asserted Thursday on Twitter. “They have the right to resist, to defend themselves, ‘by any means necessary.’”

Two More Stimulus-Backed Solar Companies Given $84 Million In Tax Credits Announce Layoffs…

Obama’s got the magic touch, everything he touches turns to crap.
Via Heritage:
A pair of foreign-owned solar companies that benefited from a combined $84 million in Energy Department tax credits have announced they will lay off employees.

One of the companies, German-owned SolarWorld, was integral in the fight for tariffs against the importation of Chinese photovoltaic solar panels. The other, Chinese company SunTech, blamed those tariffs for its own layoffs.

Both companies benefited from the Energy Department’s stimulus-funded Advanced Energy Manufacturing (48C) Tax Credit. The 48C credit is worth up to 30% of the cost of manufacturing qualifying green energy projects.

SolarWorld received a credit worth $82 million, while SunTech’s was worth $2.1 million.

Both companies announced this week that they will shed some employees. SolarWorld, which announced a 47% revenue decline in the third quarter, blamed a potential 37 layoffs at its Oregon plant on “illegal” Chinese trade practices.

SunTech said the U.S. International Trade Commission’s 35.95% tariff on Chinese solar panels was partially responsible for the 50 impending layoffs at its Arizona production facilities.

Obama-Speak: Homeland Security Secretary Replaces 'Terrorism' With the Term 'Man-Caused Disaster'

Even as President Obama compares bankers to suicide bombers, his Homeland Security Secretary is suggesting the T-word, terrorism, is too inflammatory and representative of old-fashioned "politics of fear." She's announced a new term: "man-caused disaster." From an interview with the German magazine Der Spiegel:
SPIEGEL: Madame Secretary, in your first testimony to the US Congress as Homeland Security Secretary you never mentioned the word "terrorism." Does Islamist terrorism suddenly no longer pose a threat to your country?

NAPOLITANO: Of course it does. I presume there is always a threat from terrorism. In my speech, although I did not use the word "terrorism," I referred to "man-caused" disasters. That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur.
But what if the suicide bomber is a female? Isn't it sexist to use "man-caused disaster"?

Note To Libs Claiming Criticizing Susan Rice Is Racist, You Once Denounced Condoleezza Rice As A “House Nigga”…

But calling Susan Rice “incompetent” is racist or something.
Via NRO:
That didn’t take long. U.N. ambassador Susan Rice has yet to be nominated as secretary of state, but prominent Democrats are already denouncing opposition to her potential nomination as racist on the basis of remarks by Republican senators that she may not be qualified for the job. Would that they had been so sensitive to racial overtones back in 2004, when the African-American nominee for secretary of state, the Republican Ms. Rice, was denounced on the Senate floor and pilloried in racialist cartoons.

Rice’s nomination, noted the Washington Post, garnered “the most negative votes cast against a nominee for that post in 180 years.” As the Senate debated her nomination, Senator Barbara Boxer charged that Rice “frightened the American people” into supporting the Iraq War; Senator Jim Jeffords accused her of being part of an effort to “distort information” in the service of “political objectives”; and Senator Pat Leahy, who voted in her favor, endorsed her by saying that her tenure as national-security adviser lacked “strong leadership, openness, and sound judgment.”

But the remarks of Senate Democrats paled in comparison to the material served up by America’s humorists. Syndicated cartoonist Ted Rall depicted Rice proclaiming herself Bush’s “house nigga.”

Obama’s Plan To Raise Taxes Would Cover Only Eight Days Of Government Spending…

Just to put things in perspective.
ANDREA MITCHELL: There are reliable studies that show you can’t cap enough deductions and level the playing field enough to raise the kind of revenue you need. We’re talking about a trillion and a half dollars here.

TOM PRICE: You know well, Andrea, that the president’s plan to increase taxes on the upper 2 president covers the spending by this federal government not for eight years, not for eight months, not for eight weeks but for eight days. Eight days only. It’s not a real solution. So, again, I’m puzzled by an administration that seems to be more interested in raising tack rates than in gaining economic vitality.

Leno: 'Very Dangerous to White House If Journalists Suddenly Start Asking Real Questions'

Jay Leno continued pressuring Barack Obama Thursday night.

During his opening monologue on NBC's Tonight Show, the host said, "This is very dangerous to the White House if journalists should suddenly start asking real questions” (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

“This week, CBS News became the first news organization besides Fox to ask President Obama ‘Who changed the Benghazi talking points?’” Leno teased.

“See, this is very dangerous to the White House if journalists should suddenly start asking real questions.”
Indeed it is, Jay. Indeed it is.

Just imagine how dangerous it would have been to Obama if so-called "journalists" would have asked him real questions in 2007 when he first threw his hat into the ring.

Or in 2008. Or 2009. Et cetera. Et cetera.

Ralph Nader: Obama A “War Criminal,” Worse Than Bush…

It’s no surprise that Ralph Nader isn’t a fan of former President George W. Bush. After all, the longtime activist ran against him in both 2000 and 2004. But Nader’s even less a fan of President Barack Obama, if only because he thinks Obama was capable of so much more.

On issues related to the military and foreign policy, Obama’s worse than Bush, “in the sense that he’s more aggressive, more illegal worldwide,” Nader told POLITICO, going so far as to call Obama a “war criminal.”
