McGill University says a protest on Thursday that ended with 15 people arrested was a "troubling" event in a series of escalating incidents since pro-Palestinian demonstrators set up an encampment on campus more than a month ago.

In a statement to media on Friday, the university says protesters occupied its administration building, blockaded several doors, damaged furniture and yelled threats, forcing some staff to shelter in place.

McGill says it supports the right to freedom of expression within the limits of the law but condemns "the use of intimidating, aggressive, harassing or illegal tactics such as those seen yesterday."

Police say 13 people were arrested for breaking and entering and two people were arrested for obstructing police work, after officers in riot gear used chemical irritants to forcefully disperse the crowd.
Véronique Dubuc, a spokesperson for Montreal police, acknowledged officers used tear gas and shields to disperse protesters on Thursday. Protesters, she said, threw objects and rocks at the officers.

Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights McGill, a student group participating in the encampment, posted a statement on Instagram as Thursday's events unfolded, promising an "escalation" of the protest movement.

“As the Zionist forces massacre Palestinians in Rafah and Jabalia, our administration continues to shamelessly fund genocide, ignoring the collective demands of the student body and the encampment,” the group said….How communist manifesto does that horseshit sound?

This week, the “protestors” – CBC called them students but the university has said 80% of them aren’t – stormed into McGill’s administration building. They forced out anyone who worked there, barricaded doors, destroyed furniture, and unfurled banners mocking the Holocaust.

Down the 401 at York University in Toronto, masked Israel-haters decided to ape the McGill cabal and set up an “encampment” of their own on Wednesday. “Our tuition funds genocide,” their signs read, which would be news to everyone with a functioning brain because Palestinian population growth regularly dwarfs Israel’s by about 35%.

Undeterred by pesky facts like that, the Hamas horde set up tents in the Harry W. Arthurs Common at York’s Keele campus. As at McGill, most were “persons unknown to the university,” York said.
City of Toronto employees, in the St. Paul’s neighborhood, which has a significant Jewish population, on Tuesday evening, were photographed giddily hacking down posters of Jews (and non-Jews) who have been held hostage, or murdered, by Hamas. The city workers left untouched posters advertising free landscaping estimates and a Strawberry Social.

The city workers used a machete-sized blade to remove the posters, which were in front of the newly-opened Cafe Landwer – a restaurant on Spadina Rd. north of St. Clair Ave. W. that is owned by Jews, and which has been the target of anti-Semitic attacks in recent months.

When one of my readers objected, the grinning city workers said they were “following orders,” which has a certain Nuremberg ring to it.

We need 24/7/365 AI biometric monitoring to keep an eye on everyone. Its a good way to sort out the "undocumented" too.

That’s obviously what’s being advocated for with these “student” encampments where 4 of 5 “protesters” camping out aren’t students. Just gotta read between the lines.

Mandatory biometric monitoring. That’s it. Maybe that’s the fear, & the reason most of these “student” protesters are wearing masks and sunglasses and so on and so forth to disguise their identities? I don’t know why this also didn’t occur to me previously?

But maybe its proactive COVID resurgence precautionary measures…a fear of Asian respiratory ailments, etc…

Yep, didn’t Fauci admit that masks were ineffective & he made up that 6ft social distancing thing himself? Anyway…if Hamas invested some of the pilfered UNRWA donations away from tunnel infrastructure and towards toy makers, in anticipation of the propaganda needs, discrepancies like the below representations may have been avoided:

Vs:

…in the “Hearts & Minds” thing, etc..and though Iran was prepared for the immediate aftermath of Oct. 7th…
1717960714431.jpeg
…it doesn’t seem like they where doing long term propaganda planning with plausible releases after months of exaggeration for emphasis…

Student protests have been effective at raising greater awareness about a niche view of the war in Gaza — even if it is ahistorical and misinformed. No one can fault protestors for being concerned about civilian welfare, however, current student protests have not aligned with the values of peace and tolerance.

The prevalence of Jew hatred, along with pro-Ayatollah and pro-Hamas rhetoric, as well as the refusal to engage with dissenting views, signals an anti-pluralistic radicalism that detracts from any moral high ground students could have.

They are correct that human suffering is a tragedy — and it is also tragic their young minds see no issue with racial and religious discrimination or the glorification of terrorism and theocracy.

If students want to make their point through civil disobedience and protest, they’re free to do so. Free speech remains a Canadian value.

However, if apologists want student movements to be taken seriously, they must acknowledge university students are vote-wielding adults capable of making good and bad decisions. Such apologists should forcefully advocate that protestors use their access to public education to learn facts and grow critical-thinking skills so they can make the right choices.
