Any bets whether I can make her do it again? This isn't control, it's more like remote control.

Equality is about choice, not about dictated behaviour. It's about being able to decide what works for your life, for your relationship, and not face social ramifications for your choices.

I've spent too long listening to feminists tell me I'm living wrong, watching them obsess about what people should or shouldn't be doing, based on their genitals.

You both kind of read wrong on this issue to me.
Sorry if you inferred my post to mean all women should work and pay for half etc, etc. I agree it should be their choice on how they live and the morals and ethics they wish to adhere to. Men also have those choices. Where I am coming from is it is wrong to 'carve in stone' anything about how a relationship must be. My lady makes all her own decisions as do I. That doesn't mean we don't discuss them or give each other advice, it means we each have the final say in our own lives as it should be. Gerry's attitude of 'men always pay' is fine if his partner believes it too and it works for them but in regards to actual equality it is just wrong and chauvinistic.

Not in mine either, but at no time do I consider myself to be an "equal" with my wife. I would never consider bringing her "down" to that level, and really, I doubt your hubby would consider doing that to you either.

Oh! So now you want us to believe you think women are above men? That sounds like one protesting too much. You have expressed far too many views that belie your actual feelings on the subject. Even now I can smell the truth behind your words. YOU put yourself below her...YOU put her above you...that means YOU are the one giving her that status which puts YOU in the dominant position. It is that way because YOU allow it to be so. You see Gerry my partner and I are on equal levels and equal footing in all things. We have equal responsibility and equal input in all matters. You will never truly understand equality because you do not see her as an equal and your passive-aggressive bullsh*t of her being above you shows your true colors.

Does equality involve only one dimension?

Tober....You are new and haven't had a chance to get to know Karrie much so I'm sure we will all forgive you and laugh. I certainly have been entertained these past few days by your antics. Your bravado and complete lack of tact or respect for the community you have entered has made me chuckle and smile repeatedly. We may bash each other at times and vehemently disagree on some topics but most of us have been here for a long time and have a modicum of respect for each other earned over a substantial period of time. We have earned that respect. You my friend have not yet done that. I have to hope that you would be different entering a group in real life than the internet persona you bring to this forum. I have great sympathy for you if you act this way when meeting people in person. I only write this post to give you an idea of why you may not be so well received but judging from your words and actions so far I'm pretty sure it won't make a difference. Best of luck!

You make people bring their own food when they visit you?8O

My grandmother told me that one of my aunts brought her own food when visiting. My grandmother took it as a bit insulting but never said anything about it to her. I told her to look at the bright side, save a few dollars on food.

Yup. Good thing we have top notch mods who aren't too busy scouring Obama conspiracies to handle this sh*t accordingly.

I don't agree that the mods aren't doing their jobs, but this made me laugh anyway. Thumbs up. lol.
