I am aware of your feelings toward me gerryh and there was a time when they mattered to me, but that was many many rude comments ago. I accept how you feel, no problem. I still green you when you put forth a good post and the rest I ignore with no emotion. It's all good I have certainly learned some things about myself and human nature from you over the years and for me, that's what I am here for, to learn.

Does that mean I still have a chance? I can find a buffalo too you know.

Well then you just sucked it up and we didn't.

The whole manifest destiny, world dominance thing is all in your demented fringe left head.

The first part Is correct. If I had been American , in 1775, I would have been, I hope , fighting back. The British were slowly coming to realise what a complex fraud scheme the 'London Tea Auction' was.

The Americans Said " no taxation without Representation". Either One of the Pitts, or Walpole, would have worked out a solution.

When Ben Franklin said: " Just why doesn't the East India company ship direct to America?" the convoluted answer read like Mike Duffy's expenses...

BL misses this.

Nuther lie, eh? Like the one I caught you in and posted for everyone to read last Thursday? Every day for the last two days you posted at me before I posted at you, and it was rude. Two days ago I wasn't even awake yet when you started. You took first shot at me again today. You take a rude shot at me when I have posted nothing at you or about you, and your excuse started on Thursday when you justified it by saying I was rude. You keep pissing on your own rug. One might call it "hairy karrie".

More name calling hey?

You have some interesting standards about rudeness.

Does that mean I still have a chance? JLMs not the only one who can deliver a buffalo. I just think a whole buffalo is pushing things along a little faster than humility requires and it most likely would leave the impression of too much confidence in the outcome of our innocent chat. I will work on the rabbit thing, I'm soorry it wasn't as fresh as it could have been.

I feel sorry for any girl they date or marry if they don't break away from your outdated, chauvinistic mentality. Hopefully they meet a strong woman who will teach them she is quite capable of paying her own way and won't allow herself to be treated as anything less than a complete equal in all ways including dating.

Equality is about choice, not about dictated behaviour. It's about being able to decide what works for your life, for your relationship, and not face social ramifications for your choices.

I've spent too long listening to feminists tell me I'm living wrong, watching them obsess about what people should or shouldn't be doing, based on their genitals.

You both kind of read wrong on this issue to me.

You are being polite, Sal.
GerryH is , whenever he feels like it, the BOAR of the Board who gets his jollies by watching all the polite people 'scramble out of his way".

His main purpose is to be as bad as he wants to be, his second is whatever point he is defending.
you are right of course on all levels. I am being polite because the last time I went ape crazy because of him it bothered me because it lessened me. When I am cruel it backlashes and then I feel bad because it is not who I want to be or who I am. Truth be told it backlashes everyone in one way or another. The one thing I have always held onto was I have to be true to myself. :) Even on a forum.

Just can't leave it alone, can you? Are you capable of expressing political arguments that do not consist of grade 6 writing level personal stuff? Or are all your board politics personal politics? That was a rhetorical question by the way. I'm not interested in hearing your personal issues.

In your opinion. That's not the reality in my marriage.

Not in mine either, but at no time do I consider myself to be an "equal" with my wife. I would never consider bringing her "down" to that level, and really, I doubt your hubby would consider doing that to you either.

I don't think he would ever consider me his superior, to be honest gerry.

What he does consider me is different. More needing of protecting, more needing of supporting. More adept at nurturing.

He adores our differences, and I suppose you could view that as him seeing me as 'above him', as you see your wife.

But, in the spirit of equality, I adore him for what makes him different from me, and view him as more special. So, we're equal in our adorations.

never used the word "superior"..... never mind...... I'm not going to go to the trouble of explaining it.
