They also clog the streets. When William and Kate were here year or two ago the streets were totally packed. I forgot they were going to be here on that particular day. It took about 15 minutes to walk two blocks between Elgin street and the Rideau Centre.

Security for foreign visitors is the responsibility of every host nation. There is however only the one Pope if you want to be particular about it.

I didn't say ban them from visiting, I said we should not pay the outrageous costs. They are welcome but better bring their own security or pay our RCMP and be ready to pay for their own hotels, transportation, food, etc.

Hell yeah!!! Not only do I think we shouldn't pay for him but we should ban him. He isn't royal in any way except maybe king of the pedophiles. Less than 50% of Canadians are catholic yet we are expected to pay for his visit.
