Prince Harry using newfound 'wokeness' as shield, royal expert says

A royal expert is claiming that Prince Harry is using his newfound “woke persona” as a shield against “any wrongdoing.”

And, as a result, Harry has distanced himself from Prince Philip, who he was once likened to.

Thomas Mace-Archer-Mills, founder of the British Monarchists Society, said the PC Prince is severing those ties.

“The Duke of Sussex has chosen to ignore and forget his less than favourable gaffes by burying them under several layers of political correctness and woke cushioning, in hope that his newly created persona will distance him from any wrongdoing or offence he caused when his gaffes were knowingly made,” Mace-Archer-Mills told the Daily Star.

“Harry used to be like his grandfather, he had charisma, and charm — he was able to also use humour as a tool, but this is where the similarities end,” he said.

Now, the expert noted, there is “nothing funny” about Humourless Harry, formerly a “lad’s lad” and a “happy-go-lucky chap.”

In California, among the Hollywood set where Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have found a home, wokeness is worn like a badge of honour.

Ironically, after his grandfather’s death last month, Harry described Philip as “master of the barbecue, legend of banter, and cheeky right ’til the end.”

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip, The Duke of Edinburgh, leave Westminster Abbey after a service celebrating their 60th Diamond wedding anniversary on November 19, 2007 in London.

Mace-Archer-Mills said: “If there were any aspirations on the part of Harry to be the heir to Philip’s ‘legend of banter’ then those very aspirations are sadly misconstrued, misunderstood, and misguided — a failure.”

His comments calling the U.S. First Amendment “bonkers” on Dax Shepard’s podcast endeared him to few in America.

Mace-Archer-Mills said whereas Harry was once “relatable and fun,” he’s now a “partisan, divisive, talking head that chastises and lectures his home nation and belittles his family.”

The rogue royal is now dropping more “truth bombs” in his new five-part AppleTV+ docuseries, The Me You Can’t See, with pal Oprah Winfrey.

Since their explosive initial interview with the talk queen in March, Harry and Meghan have taken a decidedly scorched-earth approach.

Harry has also called London a “trigger” for his anxiety.

Royal insiders say Queen Elizabeth is “deeply upset” by the petulant prince’s unrelenting blabbing.

“Harry’s grandmother has taken this very personally and is deeply upset by what Harry has said, in particular his comments about Charles’s parenting and suggesting his father knows no better because of how he was brought up. It has been a very upsetting time,” a source told the Mail on Sunday.

The newspaper said that Charles holds out hope his wayward son will come to his senses.

“Charles will want to engage, but it’s fair to say what Harry has said in both interviews with Oprah has been seen as very callous within the family,” the source told the Mail.

“If Harry was to attack the Queen in a more personal way, Charles would close ranks with the Queen without a doubt and Harry would be out in the cold.”

Prince Harry fears Meghan will die just like Diana: Royal expert

A Royal Family expert claims Prince Harry is terrified his wife, Meghan Markle, will die just like Princess Diana.

Angela Levin wrote a bestselling 2018 tome called Harry: Conversations with the Prince and got to know the rogue royal well.

She has been disturbed by his recent pronouncements and the anxiety on display in his new AppleTV+ mental health series, The Me You Can’t See.

Levin believes it’s time for Harry to take a break from the spotlight which he claims to abhor.

“How dreadful if Harry constantly thinks that he will lose Meghan like he did Diana and blames racism,” Levin tweeted on Monday.

“Plus can’t get rid of M’s threat to commit suicide. His life sounds too much for him and he should back away from being a woke lecturing celebrity.”

Levin is referencing Harry’s comments on how his Hollywood actress wife overcame the suicidal thoughts that plagued her while she was pregnant with son Archie.

“The thing that stopped her from seeing it through was how unfair it would be on me after everything that had happened to my mom and to now be put in a position of losing another woman in my life, with a baby inside of her, our baby,” he told pal Oprah Winfrey.

The prince was only 12 years old when Diana was killed in a tragic car crash in a Paris tunnel in 1997.

Harry freely shared — as he does most things these days — with Winfrey the depths of his wife’s despair before they decamped for Canada, then California.

“The scariest thing for her was her clarity of thought,” he said. “She hadn’t ‘lost it.’ She wasn’t crazy. She wasn’t self-medicating, be it through pills or through alcohol. She was absolutely sober. She was completely sane. Yet in the quiet of night, these thoughts woke her up.”

The former Suits actress admitted as much in the couple’s initial blast across the bow with Winfrey in March.

Markle said none of the royals were willing to help her because it “wouldn’t be good for the institution.”

BRIT MP: 'Starve' Harry and Meghan of attention. Maybe they'll go away

A British politician has slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, describing them as “attention-seeking” and urging the public to “starve” them of publicity.

Conservative MP Andrew Rosindell was reacting to the couple’s relentless PR campaign against the Royal Family.

Since the couple’s notorious sitdown with Oprah Winfrey last March, the twosome have been on a tear on a podcast and in the petulant prince’s new Apple TV+ series The Me You Can’t See.

“The British public recognize attention-seeking when they see it,” Rosindell told the Daily Express.

“I hope that the response of the British public will be as it should: to simply ignore Harry and Meghan and starve them of the oxygen they seem to desperately seek.”

And Rosindell said that Prince Harry has now been written off by the British public.

“What has happened with Prince Harry is a great sadness to the Queen and Royal Family as a whole,” he told the newspaper. “It is also very sad for the country that he has chosen the path that he has chosen.

“It was only three years ago when he had that wonderful wedding but then in less than two years have effectively resigned from the Royal Family is a great shame. Maybe him coming back for Prince Philip’s funeral will have reminded him what he has given up.

“But the country has moved on now — they do think of him as part of the Royal Family, but they don’t think of him as having a role anymore.”

Meanwhile, as Harry pursues a scorched earth policy with his family, one royal insider said the newly woke Duke of Sussex is on “increasingly dicey ground” with Netflix and Spotify.

Daniela Elser said Harry’s moaning has become tiresome and the streaming bigs may refuse to renew his contracts, she wrote on News.com.au.

“The presiding sentiment can be simply put down to this: Yawn,” she said.

“Ever since Harry and wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, opened up to Oprah in March, their denunciations of the Royal Family have started cropping up with a certain predictability that is now verging on the monotonous.”

She added: “Public sympathy, Harry may well find, is a finite resource, a fact made even more acute by the events of the past 15-months.

“No matter what he has gone through, public willingness to watch him excoriate his own family in a public forum seems to be dwindling, at least in some quarters. All of which leaves him on increasingly dicey ground.”

Elser added a “fatigue” has set in and there’s “declining interest to breathlessly tune in” in seeing what Harry has to say.

Long term, it could impact the ambitious pair’s “commercial endeavours.”

“Netflix and Spotify are not just ponying up vast sums of cash for the couple’s compassionate storytelling nous but for the fact that they will, supposedly, generate huge amounts of publicity and potentially subscribers,” Elser said.

What are being described as “very old” human remains of a “young adult” — dating back more than 10,000 years — were found just metres away from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s $15-million Montecito mansion, according to the Daily Mail.

Santa Barbara sheriff officials told the British newspaper that the discovery was made while landscapers were doing construction last week on a road next to the couple’s estate.

Early findings by a forensic anthropologist indicate the bones could be those of the Chumash people, who lived in the area for nearly 11,000 years.

“Until we have an official opinion from the forensic anthropologist, we’re not going to be saying one way or the other,” an official told the DailyMail.

Authorities are believed to be talking with the local Native American commission about the find.

Harry and Meghan’s neighbors in the exclusive neighborhood, 145 kilometres north of Los Angeles, include Oprah and Ellen DeGeneres.

British royals Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess Of Wessex joked they have no idea who Oprah Winfrey is.

Edward’s nephew Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex recently took part in a bombshell interview with the U.S. media mogul where they blasted the Royal Family and accused an unnamed member of the family of making racist comments.

However, Edward and Sophie have laughed off the controversy, with the former quipping when asked by reporters from The Telegraph newspaper about the interview, “Oprah, who?” and Sophie asking, “What interview?”

She also defended Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, who famously asked Oprah what she did for a living at Harry and Meghan’s wedding.

She said: “You know, if you’re not into chat shows, there’s no reason why you should know who she is. Certainly not in this country, anyway.”

In response to the interview, representatives from the Royal Family previously said in a statement, “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.

“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.

“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”

Oprah With Meghan and Harry: A CBS PrimeTime Special earned a nod for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special on Tuesday.

The TV special, which debuted in the U.S. in March, stirred up a storm of controversy when Duchess Megan told Oprah she was refused access to mental health help as she struggled with a media attack from the British tabloids, and accused members of the British royal family of making racist jibes about the colour of her son’s skin.

Prince Harry’s wife, who is of mixed race, also told Winfrey she contemplated suicide at one particularly low point, as she became the target of vicious tabloid attacks.

Meanwhile, Harry told the TV titan he felt “really let down” by his father, Prince Charles, revealing that the heir to the throne had refused to take his phone calls.

More than 17 million people watched the sit-down interview.

Ironically, The Crown – the Netflix drama about Queen Elizabeth II’s life – was one of the big winners as the Emmy nominations were announced. The series picked up 24 mentions, including Outstanding Drama Series and a string of acting nods for castmates like Olivia Colman, Emma Corrin, and Josh O’Connor.

Harry and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties in March 2020 but prior to that, they had spent periods of time in Canada, including the Christmas holidays in 2019.

In February 2020, Canadian authorities revealed they would stop providing security for the couple, news that stunned Harry and Meghan, according to royal author Tom Quinn.

“When they went to Canada, they discovered the Canadians didn’t want to pay for their security, and the Duchy of Lancaster didn’t want to pay while they were there,” Quinn said in the Channel 5 documentary, Meghan at 40.

“I think they were both upset and astonished,” he added.

“When Meghan and Harry gave the impression that they were hard done by, this produced a lot of negative press coverage because they have a great deal of money,” continued Quinn.

“They had to repay several million for the refurbishment of Frogmore Cottage and I don’t think they expected that.”

Canadians, however, did pay. The security bill for the Sussexes’ stay cost taxpayers just over $55,000, according to documents obtained by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.

During their interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry dropped the bomb that the royal purse strings had been lopped off.

“We didn’t have a plan. The Netflix deal was suggested by somebody else by the point of where my family literally cut me off financially, and I had to afford security for us,” he told Winfrey in March.

“They cut me off in the first quarter of 2020. But I’ve got what my mum left me, and, without that, we would not have been able to do this.”

At the time, royal biographer Richard Fitzwilliams was baffled, telling the Express that it was widely understood Harry and Meghan wanted to be “financially independent” from the royals.

“I was very surprised that Harry implied the reason they had taken the Netflix and Spotify deals was because they had been cut off financially,” he said.

“I always understood that they wished to make their own way financially and I always thought they wanted to be completely self-sufficient and this is part of a media drive.”

Jane Copley, a 55-year-old housing support officer in Essex, England, took her complaint to an employment tribunal which heard how she shared with colleagues a picture of a golliwog — a doll that stereotypes black people — as a dig at Markle and her children, saying it was the “future” of the Royal Family.

She also compared Williams to a monkey, by telling a “joke” about the tennis star’s home being decorated with “tires and fruit,” reported the Daily Mail .

Copley told the tribunal she was trying to fit in with the “usual office banter.”

In June 2019, six of her colleagues raised a collective grievance about her behaviour, telling the panel they were “offended” by the racist material she showed them at work.

She was also accused of bullying, undermining, manipulating and demeaning colleagues in the formal complaint. Some added that they were losing sleep because of the toxic environment she had created.

Copley was fired in January 2020 for gross misconduct following complaints from her Rochford District Council colleagues.

She, however, sued the council for unfair dismissal, age discrimination and disability discrimination. Copley denied the allegations against her and insisted she was a victim of a “witch hunt designed to get her out.”

In the end, the panel dismissed her claims.
