This was the same position as the antivaxxers not that long ago.

Boy do they look like idiots now.
The difference being of course that being an anti-vaxxer isn't a naturally occurring event. Not that you'd be bright enough to see the difference.
It's funny that those who are stupid enough to suggest "the science is settled" are clearly into advocacy science while ignoring actual scientific facts.
The LIA ended about 15 years before the Industrial Revolution. How odd that as we came out of a cooling phase we'd enter into a warming phase.
Ocean acidification is NOT a result of our actions. It is the result of thousands of submarine volcanoes, smokers, stacks, and vents. Proof of that can be found along a sizable stretch of water near Italy that is completely devoid of life. The culprit is a small vent in the sea floor that is continually emitting almost pure CO2. Elsewhere, a recent expedition to the Mid-Atlantic ridge discovered it was far more active that originally believed. Mile after mile of active black smokers, stacks and vents with the odd small volcano.

No, the AGW crowd is more like the anti-vaxxer crowd. Similar to those who are dead set against vaccines but have no issue with having nature's most potent bio-toxin injected into their face for reasons of vanity, are the fear-mongering AGW cultists who have no problem renting out massive yachts, flying around in private aircraft and/or building multiple homes, some of which are on islands or on the shore.

And if you're so sure that scientists are unimpeachable with their ethics and commitment to science, I have two words for you; tobacco industry. Actually, I have another word for you; Monsanto. Oh, and let's not forget hormone therapy for menopausal women. That sure was some fun science by consensus that did far more harm than good, particularly since any "good" it did was highly questionable.

You know the old saying, "numbers don't lie"? Well they don't. But they sure can be manipulated.

The frustrating part is no plan exists to deal with climate change if it did exist, wynne's cap and trade plan appears on thin ice as california's plan has gone bust much like the eu plan before it, the cash govs hope to raise for their petty cash boxes is simply not materializing. Personally I think our elected deep thinkers should get to-gether and watch cowspiracy on netflix, all the years since rio and still flogging the same poor ole horse.

It's a market.

It's meant to go up and down.

If you don't like that you should have voted for a carbon tax instead.

The province could have voted NDP if they really wanted a carbon tax.

Province wasn't going to vote NDP. Too much bullshyte based on recent sour grapes. Sadly, Big Smoke calls the shots - and there's about a half ounce of smarts in the whole city

...and why I'll campaign to evict Toronto. It'd be easy enough to get urban support.... Just propose, if elected, a four-lane highway west and full train service north

I'm totally showing these to my kids:

Shame - but they are your kids so knock yourself out. As the meme on catastrophic Global Warming gets more dubious with each passing day/year/decade, one thing that IS certain is that your kids will have to deal with the mountain of debt that Wynne and her ilk are leaving behind - largely due to Green Schemes.

Putting aside all the failed predictions, if the AGW hypothesis was truly undeniable, the alarmists wouldn't have to claim that 97% of Climate Scientists support their catastrophic claims - claims that have been totally and unequivocally debunked.

'cuz I'd never hear a word of the truth ... and I have every right to be an angry guy - as long as it's focused where it deserves to be. I owe Ontario nothing but contempt. Got a problem with that?

no doubt they're all quite brainwashed as are you.

gotta almost feel sorry for ya

almost

I feel sorry for the kids. Growing up in a cult household can't be easy for a kid of even normal intelligence.
I'm still wondering exactly how Wynne expects to change the climate. Massive donation of Ontario tax $$$$ that they don't have to some third world country?

It's a market.
As a market for carbon it surpasses what the edsel did for ford, that wynne is out to disprove the old saw that trying the same failed gambit over and over hoping for a different result should come as no surprise. The eu market made some savvy manipulators very rich but the market itself tanked and it appears california's market value is following suit. Matters not what I like or dislike kathleen void of direction blurting out failed policy for the sake of expediency should spook everybody, oh.. oeb says hydro rates going up again, windmills are quite expensive.

Will people be as happy about Wynne's time as premier, 20 years from now?
