and no, you don't "generally" respect what people decide.

You'd be wrong! :) :)

man's a friggin genius no question about it.

Yeah, he's a legend in his mind! :)

Haven't really done any research on this young lady, have ya?

I think she's very, very fortunate. Rachel Notley has extended an olive branch in that she's going to review the situation a year from.
If she is up to the challenge all the power to her, if she's sincere it's a win/win situation. But she still has to get approval from the electorate for long term success.

Actually, I'd be right. You have show repeatedly that you do not respect the continued decision of the people of Calgary to send Stephen Harper to Ottawa to represent them. Do I need to go on and name more of the people's representatives that you have made clear that you don't respect their decision?

You're grasping at straws, Gerry. I believe the last time the people of Calgary decided to send Harper to Ottawa was 2011. I voted Conservative in that election and until recently I've supported that decision and may have to continue to until a better alternative comes on board. I don't particularly like the Pr*ck but that's an entirely different matter.

I think it's past your bedtime, Gerry, maybe if you get a good night's sleep you'll be able to think up some more sh*t for tomorrow that you are qualified to debate. :)

And you would be wrong again. The last federal election was Aug 2012. And Harper has been elected to The House for over 12 years now.

Northern Ontario,
Wrong- a serious politician who has just won a seat in a new Gov't has many more constituents' concerns to be working on than to concern herself with that sh*t. Her deportment should be no less than that of the leader of the party.

The ability to keep one's mouth shut in a political environment until the issue has bees studied from all angles is a good attribute! You can't unfry a f**king egg.
How soon one forgets what he wrote about another politician......
Selective memory??????

Maybe a week or two until Harper of one of his cronies next scandal occurs! What Lizzy did is hardly worth mentioning - at worst she looked a little stupid- she didn't commit any crimes. Most likely she will gain more respect from it than what she lost.

The title "Elizabeth May- Drunk as a Skunk" is melodrama to the extreme if not a down right falsehood. She was a little tipsy.

Anyone with a "life" will forget but of course there will be a few who won't. They need something constructive to do.

Kudos to Elizabeth- she did the best thing she's done since entering politics! Not to mention being entirely truthful.

I suppose she could be criticised for the use of unparliamentary language, but what the hell, no worse than "fuddle duddle"

Perhaps you are trying to equate remarks I make about various politicians with remarks they make. Of course if I was a politician I wouldn't be as outspoken as I am as a critic! :) Have a good day Sleepy. :)

Another one of Gerry's retorts just loaded with wisdom and insight! :) :) :) :)

If you're too fu cking stupid to see the hypocrisy that is being pointed out to you....then "zoom" is all you deserve.

You defend a drunk May, and tear a young woman that has had the guts to step into the political arena at a very young age for making a stupid mistake. Would you have preferred that she was drunk when she posted that twitter remark? Would that have made it ok? Or would she have had to be drunk in public, at a high profile engagement, like May was?

Personally I would expect both to show some decorum toward the office they hold .

There's old Ger again, mixing up the apples and the oranges. I had no expectations of Eliz. May (contrary to a newly elected member) , she just made a valid comment, drunk or sober had no bearing on the issue. :) :)

Ditto.......If he can't see the irony of his statements he's hopeless!
Just like a weathervane.....depends which way the wind blows....

You appear to be just as dumb as Gerry- can't differentiate the differences between a woman 26 and just starting a career and one 62 who has already established a reputation and besides probably beyond the point where she actually gives a sh*t! :)

If she develops a populist position like Peter Lougheed she could be the Premier
for a long time. Peter was a mixture of left, right and down the center. They were
few people like Tommy Douglas as well he did what was required like Peter did.
The new Premier I think will be very practical

Yep, she comes across as bright, with a plan and not the type to go off half cocked.
