First Republican congressman wants to impeach Trump. Why? He read the unredacted report?

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/justin...rst-gop-member-to-call-for-trump-impeachment/

U.S. Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan on Saturday became the first Republican lawmaker to say President Trump had "engaged in impeachable conduct." In a series of tweets, Amash wrote he had read the full report by special counsel Robert Mueller and had concluded there is a "threshold for impeachment."

"Under our Constitution, the president 'shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors,'" Amash wrote Saturday. "While 'high Crimes and Misdemeanors' is not defined, the context implies conduct that violates the public trust."

Amash also wrote that impeachment does not require "probable cause" has been committed, but rather "simply requires a finding that an official has engaged in careless, abusive, corrupt or otherwise dishonorable conduct."

The last three presidents before this one the people bitched..... and they got a second term out of it.....
Proving P T barnum's saying that there is no such thing as bad publicity......

And politics is only a bigger circus.....

I hope that all you T D S sufferers realize that you might be guaranteeing Trump a second term.....
....

Is there much doubt? You have to wonder, if he's as bad a lot of the wing nuts figure, why is he still President?

Trump responds on Twitter with his usual meltdown.

Calls Amash a loser.

LOL

GOP is dead and someone forgot to tell them.

Federal judge declines to block congressional subpoena seeking years of Trumps financial records from his accounting firm

U.S. District Judge Amit P. Mehta of Washington refused to halt the records request to Mazars USA from the House Oversight and Reform Committee but stayed his order seven days to allow President Trumps lawyers time to appeal.

Trump and some of his businesses challenged the records request in a lawsuit that contends that the House is not entitled to investigate his past personal finances. The ruling comes in one of the first courtroom challenges to subpoenas by Congress asking judges to weigh in on the constitutional separation of power between the executive and legislative branches.

Pelosi having a hard time holding off impeachment.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/21/politics/nancy-pelosi-impeachment-trump/index.html

This is a seminal moment for the democrats.

The party leader does not want to impeach Trump because it is politically dangerous for the party. I get that. I understand that she thinks the way she thinks and that she is probably the voice of reason on some level.

But the impeachment is also a simple matter of principle. If the guy has done something that is impeachable then he should be impeached. Or at least that is he way a normal non politician would think.

Guilty people should be accountable.

Right now it is getting hard for Pelosi to paint the impeachment supporters as he young radical lefties.

There is a lot of rank and file support for impeachment and I think regardless of the outcome or the risks the democrats have to pursue it.

Confidential draft IRS memo says tax returns must be given to Congress unless president invokes executive privilege

The internal memo, written last fall by an Internal Revenue Service attorney, contradicts the Trump administration's justification for denying the president's tax returns to lawmakers.

guess which avenue trump will take...

Something about ABUSE of power .

His sociopathic personality is just so WRONG for the position of POTUS.
But his supporters LIKE his rule breaking methods.

And the executive privilege argument is insane. Executive privilege does not cover events that transpired before Tiny became president.

Should he release his tax returns ? What years should he release ? Can I see yours ?
He should. 2007-2016. No.

I would point out the difference between a private citizen and a Presidential candidate, but you're either too stupid to comprehend, or just trying on the fallacy of false equivalency.

If you don't want all of your dirty, little secrets exposed, don't run for public office. No doubt, someone told Trump all of that but being the egomaniacal narcissist that he is, he ignored them ... as he usually does.

People should keep their noses out of his tax returns! The I.R.S. is likely well compensated to concern themselves with his taxes and if he doesn't comply, they have the power to drop the hammer. Some people just can't find enough shit to worry about!
