I think a lot of people realise that the BC provinicial Liberals are much closer to Harper than they are to Martin, No 1. That would keep the provincial anti-Liberal vote to a minimum.
We just have to saddle up to the right wing Bloc
The Bloc are left-leaning. It's the promise of, "some heavy handed changes can begin to sweep Canada," and dumb-assed statements like, "Ontario can suck on my left nut," that keep the Conservatives from gaining support.
If the CPC got a minority government, which all they can conceivably get, they'd be powerless to get any of their policies through. If they insisted, they'd fall.
Only people who think it's a good idea to have two federal elections in 2006, ending with a Liberal majority, would vote Conservative this time around.
"some heavy handed changes", are precisely what people expect from the CPC and that, is what I sincerely hope, will keep them out of office. Can anyone imagine what Harper would be like with a majority?
That comment was made by an average Canadian. What about that Liberal MP who said "Alberta can blow me". Then you wonder why Alberta wants to seperate.
We will see how much they will get done starting in 7 weeks.
Wasn't it you that said that the Canadian people would make the CPC pay for forcing an election after only 17 months. I guess when the Liberals/NDP do it after 2 months, the Canadian public will reward them with a majority.
Less corruption.
Less waste.
Less theft.
More unity with the West.
More money in our pockets.
Tougher on crime.
Canadians getting to choose where to spend their money on their own kids instead of being forced to pack them like sardines into a state run child care facility reminiscint of the ex Soviet Union.
Quebecers content that the Liberals have finally paid for their underhanded tactics.
Opening of the books and Chretien along with a dozen or so party faithful going to jail.
The cons not doing so hot there either. Maybe Liberals are stealing NDP support as they want to keep Harper out?
