Can't there be debate without the personal attacks? I feel like I started a family feud.

In the OP video, it looks like the police started the violence. I may have missed something.

On Sunday of the G8/G20 summit, the police appear to have started the violence after they did nothing when their agent provocateurs were busy smashing stuff and burning cars. It looks pretty clear to me what happened. It also looks a lot like what I have experienced first hand in such situations.

I just want GH to put me back on Ignore - I not only deserve it, I was having such a hoot. Luv Ya Ger.

That's what happens when ideologues just make stuff up.

We all have, it's called the whole story.

Has there been criminal charges laid against those provocateurs? have they been identified? Arrested?

It also looks a lot like what I have experienced first hand in such situations.
I've been to several protests in my life. I've never been assaulted. But then again, I complied when things got ugly.

Only stupid people keep acting our when it gets ugly.

Gentleman please. If this incessant bickering continues, who will teach Gopher to read?

What a load of Bunk.

Next you'll be blaming the police for Stanley Cup riots in Vancouver.

Drunken fan or Agent Provocateur?

More Vancouver Police instigators

Bruins Fan assaulted by even more Agent Provocateurs or maybe he's being helped.. I can't tell.

Two different scenes, man. No need to provoke a riot at a sports event. Alcohol will do that. And that was not a protest. It was a riot.

Discrediting protestors the G8/G20 is just good politics for the ruling class. Besides, you show me the bunk in those videos. There is a lot more on Youtube and even more on Google.

Not when there are ignorant right wingers on a forum who don't have enough character to admit they have been defeated in the debate. Personal attacks are all they have left since their reasoning skills are so limited.

There is no need to provoke a riot at the G8/G20 meetings either. The "protesters" have established a rich history spanning a couple of decades now of forcing their demonstrations into pre-planned violent events (all under the guise of helping the planet).

These folks come prepared Cliffy and if you doubt it, just cruise the blogosphere and eavesdrop on what's being stated.

It's easy to post video that lacks the full context, especially when the shots are taken by someone with an agenda... Fact is, there are 2 sides to all stories and to assess cause-effect from only one angle is just incomplete.

The so called Black bloc are all in uniform, many carry police issue clubs and wear police issue boots. Police have been infiltrating dissenting groups for over 50 years to incite violence. There are many documented cases, one that comes to mind was an RCMP agent who started a white supremist group and incited violence in Alberta. You may remember that case.

When I lived in Montreal, the cops were always starting riots. One of the most notorious was the La Press strike around 1969.
And going back even farther, there was the attacks on unions in the 30s and 40s.

You want to scan the blogosphere you will find agent provocateurs writing stuff too to further discredit dissenters. Nothing is as it seems out there. The TO G8/G20 was a training exercise. Expect the next one to be worse.
