I disagree with a number of Harper polices so I must of course be anti Harper- I pick the best of the worst.
And Harper road the squeaky clean to power.
Whether or not you like Harper (or any politician) is entirely your business.
Where the difference occurs is in the selective 'uniqueness' of events that you are applying.
Honestly, do you really believe that any other PM rode the squeaky clean to power or is that exclusively Harper?
I stated back in the spring what he should have done- he would have been able to walk away from this-Let the RCMP investigate- bring in new rules for mandatory disclosure along with firm rules.
Giving those 3 a chance to talk publicly was a tactical error, that should not have been made.
Whoever approved that should join the Liberal Party as that is who they helped.
There is another risk that had Harper given these 3 the bums-rush that he'd be accused of denying justice or possibly covering up something by not allowing full discussion on the event(s).
Considering the importance that the media has applied to what amounts to 3-4 hundred thousand in expenses (that are being repaid I might add) is so grossly disproportionate to other recent and notable scandals.. That in itself stinks
