If you would be able to step outside your dogma, your belief in a male god, you might be able to see that it is religion that perpetuates the myth of evil. As I have said before, Satan is alive and doing well in Christianity. It is the belief in evil that creates it in your reality. We are taught it, we are exposed to evidence of it on the news every night.
If you hate evil, that is evil. If you don't believe in it it ceases to exist in your reality. I know it is a difficult concept to comprehend if you are unwilling to change yor point of view. But it really isn't YOUR point of view, is it? It is one that someone fed you and you bought it hook, line and sinker.
Why do people feel separation from the creator? Why is there so little love in a world permeated by it? I would be questioning my beliefs if I were you. I am quite fine with mine, thank you very much.
Further to that minirant it is felt by some that evil is a manifestation of the resentment of the power of love, a perverted drive to individuate or separate from the whole, this makes very nasty people because they know they cannot disobey the law like that for ever, it catches up to them and they suffer bad, this increases the resentment and they sin some more and give the big wheel the finger in near complete arrogance, they say. They've been reminded about their errant ways numerous times in the past I guess. Now of course I'm talking about the fundementals of the onionverse, which is so beyond language and our little minds all we can do is obey while we go about the business of finding out what our business is, again.

I forgot this little gem! It is written on the wind, in the forest, in the waters and in the earth - god's creation, not man's words or writings. Words are just symbols, squiggles, curves and lines that mean nothing until the mind interprets them in the context of the moment. The earth and the life upon it hold the answers. Words might point you in the right (or wrong) direction, but the truth can only be found in your life experiences.
Jesus may have pointed the way but most followers stop and suck on his finger instead of going in the direction that he is pointing. Many others have pointed the way but it is the same mistake all followers make, no matter which religion you look at. The journey is a personal one and no one can teach you or tell you how to make that journey. You have to take the first step, to wean yourself of books and teachers, ministers and priests.
If you look at the metaphor that Jesus taught, if you truly understand his message, it is that you are your own messiah and the destination is your own ascension.

Yup! TV had the potential to be the great educator, but as usual, the miscreants that run the show turned it into a mind control contraption. If every body just turned the damn thing off for a month they would start to see the truth.
It was and is a powerful educator though. Pictures like that are worth millions of words in the bad way. You know I was reading a while back this guy compared the literacy rates from army records of the civil war and the gulf war 85% literacy for the union troops 35 for the gulf war specimins, they were educated 20th century style.

I couldn't tell you about the cannabis but there is plenty of evidence that he did spend a lot of time in India, and a lot of his teachings are the same as the Buddhists.
