I would not hire her for any job. She's a lose cannon. She's the kind of gal that would leave for lunch and never come back, eventually you would notice that she left a resignation letter on a post-it note placed on the coffee maker in the kitchen.

Good thing she is not asking you for a job.

The world needs more people with ideals and morals. Parliament could use a whole lot more like her.

I would have liked to have had the opportunity to hear the things she has obviously been privy to. I'm sure she could have used that if she was truly a radical.

She has kept quiet on that angle.

probably sworn to secrecy on penalty of prosecution.

Where I would like to be a fly on the wall is when a new government is sequestered for two weeks to "learn" the ropes. I think then that you would find out just who is really in power behind the scenes, I mean like the ones who actually pay these actors what they are allowed to do and say to make it look like a democracy.

They don't even have to make it look like a democracy anymore. They just do whatever the hell they want.

Yup. We need more ass kickers like you to let them know we are on to them. I carried that torch for 40 + years. I'm kinda burnt out from beating my head against that brick wall. That is why I like what this girl has done. She has more balls than most of the males on this forum put together.

Perhaps, but if there's an enemy, and if you know you are on the right track, she's exactly who you want on side.

Her lack of good sense and good manners maybe just reflects how botched the system is.

We have a flawed democracy, and someone stood up to say something about it.

Her parents should be proud.

The system has been botched for years.

People have known and complained about it for years... its just that now your side is eating the s*** sandwiches, so all of a sudden its a disaster. I'll go one step further and say that as flawed as it is, I have not seen any suggestions for reforming the system that sound any more equitable than what we have.

This girl has gained some notoriety and doubtless will be able to find a home in the political machines of the NDP or Liberal Party, once her current prospects have dimmed, but her message is/was sheer partisan BS... no more valid (but perhaps much less due to her discarding the will of the electorate and the violation of the trust placed in her by her employers/supervisors) than any other pundit or partisan hack for any side, north or south of the border.

I'll give her props for standing up for what she believes in but I think she's an idiot for drinking that kool-aid and for not trying to get her message out without damaging her long-term career prospects. I wouldn't want my child to be this stupid, no matter how passionate they are: reason and logic trump passion in the long run.

Perhaps, but she picked a poor time and place.

The boss was the target and for $13K a year she'd probably make more on welfare than this "distinguished" "powerful" "honourable" job as a Parliamentary waitress.

Do MPs even tip?

Why is it that when you're driving and looking for an address, you turn down the volume on the radio? :)
Your nose is itchy.

$13K looks better on the resume than welfare!

Where is a better place and when would have been better?

when she was not in a position to abuse her priviledges of employment and when she was not in a position to violate her responsibilities and ethics that went with her employment.

Yeah a waitress that brings, coffee, tea, water and passes notes between MPs goofing around. WOW. You'd think it was a position at the Bay or something fancy.
