What’s at Stake in the Bonn Climate Talks?

http://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/10/climate/bonn-climate-change-conference.html

Under the Paris agreement, each country submitted a voluntary pledge to tackle its greenhouse gas emissions and then agreed to meet every five years to review their collective progress and prod one another to ratchet up their efforts.

But so far, those pledges have proved inadequate. Most industrialized countries — from Europe to Japan to the United States — aren’t on track to meet their emissions goals. And even if they were, the current pledges put the world on course to heat up 3 degrees Celsius or more, an outcome with a far greater risk of destabilizing ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica, drastic sea-level rise and more destructive heat waves and droughts. To stay well below 2 degrees, countries would need to cut back fossil-fuel emissions far more rapidly than they’ve promised so far.

If people actually did something themselves we wouldn’t be here. But all people do is talk and do nothing.

There was no way they were going to attach penalties to obligations they had no intention of keeping.

Give Trudeau some slack will ya, he’s being hit with a huge amount of reality right now. His whole world is falling apart. Reality is pounding him hard atm. Trumps giving it to him. We should make a meme of Trudeau giving Trump head :laughing3:

Cause right now thats what it looks like with Mexico yelling at the top of their lungs to Trudeau not to sign a deal exclusively without Mexico

I can imagine Trudeau giving really good head for some reason. Its just the impression he gives.

And you know the no show Trudeau pulled in Asia. That was because he was too busy giving head to Trump again

Im not sure one man can handle that much reality check in so little time. The poor boy must be exhausted from all the deep throat.

His father did warn him about sleeping next to a giant like The United States.

Trudeau’s political life will be destroyed by Trump its guaranteed
