Love her or hate her, you gotta admit, for someone to say that only losers quit and then to have her say I quit in the next sentence is something unprecedented in political history!

No wonder even the Fox network has criticized her!!

Any politician who aspires for a higher office than the the one he/she currently holds should have the courage of his/her conviction and display the confidence in his/her abilities to win that higher office by resigning that current post.

Those who don't do that are betraying their constituents.

If Obama had had the courage, integrity and honesty, he would have resigned as a Senator, before announcing to run for President.

Same goes for John McCain.

Joe Biden displayed the same kind of political cowardice by hanging onto his Senate seat.

So, now that Sarah Palin has the honesty, courage and integrity to resign and run for higher office (?) on her on dime, rather than collecting tax-payer-funded salary, she is a QUITTER?

Maybe so Y.J. but then that might be one of the best ways to find yourself in the E.I. line up.

Not quite, JLM.

Voters appreciate honesty, no matter how seldom they see it nowadays.

There are many things I would like to see in politics. Term limits for politicians is one. Law for requiring aspirants for a higher office to resign their current post in order to run for higher office is an other.

Maybe the problem is more with semantics than morals. Could be she's stepping back from the small thing to gather momentum for the big thing BUT if she's going to make president (not that I know much about it) I would think she'd better become a more articulate speaker or she won't get past the second primary.

I hate to say it, but I do agree with you on this one.

When Barrack Obama announced that he's running for President, he, in all ways except the honest ones, quit his post as a Senator.

When Joe Biden accepted to be on the ticket, he, in all ways, except the honest ones, resigned his post as a Senator.

Mind you, so did John McCain. And, at the time, Sarah Palin.

Honesty is not the long suit of a regular politician. So when one with honesty and integrity comes along, it is a BIG surprise!!

Sarah Palin is one. Show me a Democrat!

I'm inclined to agree that Palin is honest but perhaps in a naive way. What I doubt about her is the ability to handle all the big fish in Washington- those bastards can be pretty ruthless and as a hockey Mum from Alaska, might be a bit of a laughing stalk.

If you interpret honesty as naivete, that is your problem and if the American liberals (seem to be sharing your views) thoink that way it will be their serious problem.

Laughing stock?

Who could be a bigger laughing stock than stumble-bum Joe Biden who makes former VP Dan Quayle look like a genious?

And to think he was the one I thought who could possibly save Obama when they were running for office. What a bumbling fool he turned out to be.

The bottom line is that Palin scared the heck out of the media and the left. John McCain was supposed to pick up a typical white guy but picked a woman.

So the left and the media did what they had to do.
