Couric asked her simple question, like foreign policy, or what magazines, periodicals she read every week etc. When she could not give coherent answer to such simple questions, that really sealed her fate.

Her accomplishments while governor of Alaska speak for her. Her domestic policies speak for themselves and as for foreign policies, she had at the time little bit more than President Obama. She does have the Left worried, there the only ones still trying to find fault with her.

But you are still very worried about her ,arn't you?

But of course pgs, every Democrat is deathly afraid of her (but then isn’t every Democrat deathly afraid of every Republican? At least that is the official Republican line). Obama is even now shaking in his boots with fear at the thought of Joan of Arc running in 2012.

Did you know, if Joan of Arc decides to run, Obama is thinking of not running in 2012? And that Democrats may not even run a candidate in 2012? We might as well crown her the monarch and be done with it, where is the need for election?

Alaska is a postage stamp, an insignificant state ironsides, her accomplishments there don’t count for much. Indeed, Republicans made the very same argument when Carter was the Democratic nominee, they claimed that Carter was the governor of an insignificant state such as Georgia, so his experience as the governor did not really count.

Well, Alaska is even smaller than Georgia.

As to her policies, her interviews with Katie Couric speak much louder than her policies.

As to left being worried, read my post in response to pgs. Obama is shaking in his boots with fear at the thought of her running. All Joan of Arc has to do is to announce that she is seeking Republican nomination, Democrats will abandon any thought of running a candidate in 2012. What is the point? Joan of Arc will be crowned the president by acclaim, by 99.9 % of the vote and that will be that. The 1000 year rule will begin.

I guess that by that measure, 'the right' must be terrified of Obama.

No, We are seeing what he is actually doing and cannot do anything about it. here is a difference. Just hope we have something left in the treasury when he is thru looting it. (I know almost everyone who has become President has left office a little richer)

Oh, I understand.

People attack Palin, so they must be scared of her.
When they attack Obama, that's not the case.

Why attack her at all now, is she running for anything No. Is she planning to, who knows. Last I heard she is just trying to sell a book about her failed run for Vice President. Almost like the Bush beaters, it is over.

Now Obama on the other hand is a work in progress and what a work he is.

I figure that any public figure who puts themselves out in the marketplace is fair game for commentary.

It is by no means over, ironsides. It is very likely that she will seek the Republican nomination. It is also very likely that she will get it, she is very popular with the Republican base (though with hardly anybody else).

Once she becomes a nominee, there is a non zero (if very small) chance that she will get elected. It doesn’t matter how well economy is doing, how popular Obama is with the people, something can always turn up which would plunge Obama off a cliff (say he is exposed to be having a homosexual affair or involved in child abuse).

So if she wins the nomination there is a finite probability (however small) that she may be elected the president. So we may be talking here of a future president of USA.

Quite so, TenPenny. Obama, Pelosi, Hillary, Joan of Arc, Rush 'drug addict' Limbaugh, they are all fair game.

One question- S.J. why do you who profess tolerance for minorities keep up the sarcastic moniker for Rush Limbaugh? Do you have the same intolerance for cancer patients or heart patients as you do for addicts? Labels are a sign of social ignorance. Who knows if he didn't come by his addiction from treatment of one of the "honourable" diseases?

"If being a good-looking woman was the only condition necessary for becoming a presidential candidate, Sarah Palin would win hands down. She is gorgeous."

What's the difference between being a good-looking woman and a good-looking man to qualify as Presidential material?

Surely, nobody in their right mind would suggest that Obama qualified on anything else, other than his silver (forked) tongue and good looks?

He certainly doesn't appeal to me, but maybe you have a thing for men. All the more power to you, there's nothing to be ashamed of.

Just a couple of other little details, Y.J. -knowledge of politics, articulate, methodical, even tempered, attractive personality, intelligent, loyalty to his country, has interest of fellow Americans at heart, otherwise like you think, he's a dud. Merry Xmas Y.J.

TenPenny, you grossly overrate yourself. No normal person would give a single penny for your opinions, such as the way-off-topic, typical liberal nonsense, above. If I were a thin-skinned liberal I would take that as a personal insult.

Merry Christmas to you!

If the Republicans want to win in 2012, they cannot run Sarah Palin plain and simple.
Old news.
