Many of the ones you call forefathers were not even Christian. They were Deists. Ironically, the one who stood at the forefront of separation of church and state, James Madison, was a Christian. Go figure.
Being free "of" religion is a troubling concept for many social conservatives.

Since 9/11 alone - 13 and a half years - the number of Muslims in America has doubled whilst the number of Christians fell by almost 13%. Now if the number of Muslims keeps doubling every 13 years or so.....
Islam is now the fastest-growing religion in America. Promoting Christianity in America seems like a good idea to me when you take these stats into account.

I'd start implementing the Republicans' commonsense plan to promote Christianity and make it America's national religion if I were you because, if you don't, you're going to find yourself in deep trouble. The Muslims are coming for you, you know, so stop concentrating on what's happening in Britain and get your own house in order. Promote Christianity or America will, in the not-too-distant future, become an Islamic Republic. Islam is growing exponentially there.
